Look for alternator / electric motor repair places. They should have the correct wire and the skills to repair it. Simple fix IMO. Never saw such damage before (not counting my melted amp..)

speaker selection for 2way active
Did you end up getting the SLS ? IMO most of the pictures posted don't do it justice. It's an awesome looking speaker. And for the money it is an awesome performer.

whats the difference in 1/2" and 3/4" mdf
Well you should predrill all of your holes anyway. And the screws really only need to hold for the first few hours, because after that the dried glue is what holds the box together. When I USED to use screws, I always predrilled holes. ALWAYS ALWAYS. However, I've found that a Titebond3 glue joint is more than sufficient. i always pre drill my holes any way regardless of the thickness of the wood but what i was saying was that when you have to drill a hole nearly as large as the screw itself you lose alot of holding power while with a thicker piece of wood to screw into you dont have to make the hole quite as large because the wood is less likely to split. and i dont like just using glue the screws are kindof an extra security for me The glue is stronger than the wood itself idk just like the extra insurance and never really tested it but i think one 1 1/2 wood screw is rated to hold 50 lbs so if you have ten screws on thts 500 lbs The rating of the screw depends a lot on the material it holds together. I really doubt it can hold that much weight the way it is used in a box. Wood glue is stronger than mdf.

Going to apply for a job as a programmer and I have a question about writing the resume : Considering I have zero work experience in the field, is it ok to add any other work experience ? Only place I worked was on constructio sites, on backhoe loader

Midbass/Doors
I'd opt for fiberglass. If not, some poly sheeting, sheetmetal or plywood. Big panels of mdf are going to be too heavy.

Not sure if my address is tied to the account. I suspect it's only possible in some countries. Where is he from ?

Welcome to the IHoP
I always payed for products as products. Not services, not goods. Read about a case when somebody bought a product, payed as a service, never received the product and never got his money back. I think he would mean to send the product as a gift so he won't pay at the customs. Ask him and if that is what he wants, don't send it as a gift, instead declare it lower.

US Amps Repair Center
Sub output on the HU only controls wether the sub amp receives signal or not through the RCA's. If the amplifier is on and the output is shorted it doesn't matter if there is signal present at the input or not. Only way to keep the amp in the car if you are not using it is to remove the remote wire.
