  1. Just to clear up the "differences" you listed: Both D/A chips are fine and beyond your hearing to tell the difference. OEM HU integration is only valid if you want to do that. I'd never use High level inputs The Alpine touchscreen is a HUGE advantage as you have control all the time. To get that with a PC based system you need a carputer. Dynamic eq is a great idea, not sure how much time I'd have to set it up right to truly utilize it though. In particular when typically I change volume based on noise floor changes in the vehicle due to road conditions and the road condition change is not always the same. far from it in fact. Two digital inputs isn't useful if you don't have two sources. Hell a single one in a car with a headunit that manages the rest is better and more seamless if you ask me. 5.1 is ridiculously stupid in a car and is not an advantage. Dynamic eq kinda scares me. Honestly. After spending ~20hours in a car with H701 + D100 and seeing how easy it is to make adjustments I'm sold on that setup option. Just my 2 cents. I read about the problems with the Bit one on diyma. Spent some time reasearching with a friend who wanted to make the same switch as you.
  2. Hurry up Madisound and usps !
  3. 'peakas pair for Expect pics of Fostex and Peerless goodness in ~2 weeks
  4. Speaking of food...I just had some rice with turkey breast and some salad
  5. I'd eat my own if I could Riiiiiiibssss ....
  6. Read about a series of problems with them. The dac's aren't as nice as in the H701 and also talked to some people that tested them head-to-head and concluded that it's not worth the change.
  7. *Fingers crossed they will send the invoice by envelope* That's how they did it with my tweeters.
  8. I hope Madisound doesn't send an invoice with the package. Time to email them to send it separately. $180 for speakers, $90 for shipping. If the moron at the customs office sees the total, the wallet will suffer. Everything over $220 is taxed with 19%. Still can't understand how they want to tax shipping. Fucking idiots.
  9. If you already have the H701, don't do it.
  10. Stick it to metal !
  11. Good luck !
  12. I can only see one cranky person...and that is you.
  13. *sigh* Still got 3 weeks untill the semester ends and the finals start. 3 weeks of hell because of projects and tests.
  14. So you posted that you can't afford these just to brag that you bought 4 subs ?
  15. There also were 3 cars prepared for sound quality (mine included) and we all listened to the cars with the judge to see how the cars would do. Judge really liked the soundsplinter and the mli's
  16. Good job, but what mic are you using there? Those scores seem really friggin low man I was just thinking that!!! I did a 144.6 with 2 L7 15"s on 1000w..... something doesn't seem right. It was on music. Bass Mechanic - Drifting was drawn. We're still working on building loud cars over here On music I still did a 143.5 That 2 15"s 12,000w should be low/mid 150's...... ....... and might get upper 150's if tuned right.... Idk maybe yall do something different over there. It was a certain song, from the db jams vol 10 cd. I got 141.9 on one of the tracks used in the competition (the mp3 ripped version). Guy who took first place in my category scored 153.x with one of the tracks. You couldn't choose any song.

  18. Just got back from the competition. Managed a 138.1 with 750w, on music, engine off Overall pleased, since I took 4th place to : 2 15's on 9000w, 1 15 on over 10000w and 2 15's on ~12000w. Last one scored 140.7. Sucks that I tested the tracks at home on mp3's ripped by the organisers (probably normalized and with a bit of gain) and peaked over 140 on all the tracks but during the competition we had to use the original cd.
  19. Very serious work in that shelf
  20. Amen brother ! Need to catch up with a lot of work and projects. School sucked bad this semester.
  21. Check out Terry's (The Scraper) boxes on Termpro. I have competed against him a few times, and took 2nd to him every time. Very small boxes, driver forward, single aeroport rearward with the port flare very close to the back lid, also loads of resin to harden the box like crazy. Just started looking on termpro for some info (haven't checked Terry's projects yet) and it seems crx style is picky on box size / shape. Definately going to try a diffrent box this summer. I always had problems with the batteries
  22. It's going to stay the way it is now. It meters as high as it can meter and that's that. No time now to modify it.
  23. Fuck it, I'm chopping the box. This is how it sits now : 3 inch risers to clear the amp in the left. Chopping so it will not need the risers. Going to drop the box volume with abour 2 cubes, and hopefully my tuning will also go up a bit. Car peaked at 50hz with the sealed 10. And it won't budge past 46hz with this current box. Jacob's Jeep also peaks at 50. snoopdan's also peakes at 50.
  24. Adrian's 11000 posts of junk
  25. Team SSAudio Level 1 Oh dear, oh my, not a Prophet anymore
