  1. Last autumn, on a longer trip, I barely kept up with a girl driving a Fiat Punto. That girl was an awesome driver, changed my opinion forever
  2. Yes I am an ass. Will I change for somebody that doesn't like me ? NO. EDIT : Please don't label me.
  3. My apologies, I missed this : To my understanding, the ib3 was optimised for an ib application (yes, I know your thoughts on this) where an extremely strong motor and a high'ish fs isn't needed (you also reach mechanical limits before thermal limits, so no need for a coil that can handle gobs of power). And the btl was build to take some abuse, just why they were designed like they are. One more thing about the btl motor is the fact that there are other cooling techniques. Venting the pole isn't the only cooling technique and, iirc, the bp power option consists in blocking the pole vent, to re-direct the air flow. I probably didn't cover everything you asked. If there's more, be a tad more specific [offtopic] SQ refers to a style of competition. It is not a term to describe a good sounding subwoofer. Maybe it can describe a complete system (not just sub + amp + head unit). [/offtopic]
  4. These assumptions about "SQ" subs and SPL subs are totally ridiculous. There are far more things involved in a good sounding sub than a spider pack. One more ridiculous thing : "power requierment". IMO no subwoofer requiers a certain amount of power "to get moving". Internet hype.
  5. You're not alone.....
  6. IMO : If the coil rubs a bit on the pole (which shouldn't happen), it is very easy to short out the windings. Could be a good idea because of extra "contact" surface between the coil and the air around it.
  7. Assembling crossovers isn't too hard. The hard part is designing them. It takes a lot of time and a bit of experience. In a car it is do-able but you need to test out diffrent crossover frequencies and slopes to match the components and the install. Is there any chance you could filter them active ? Maybe you have a 4 channel amp that can do that, or even a head unit that can ?
  8. I call dibs on one of them if you want to sell By the way, where do you have your nextels highpassed ?
  9. Very badass
  10. Then ask about it... Listen and/or read what people say. You don't understand. just ask! ^-^ I'm sure people on this forum will help you .. I've figured stuff out by listening..I'm still learning myself ^-^ you'll be fine! I went through that learning part a bit diffrently, by reading replies, discussions, researching. There still are some things you search for and you can't find any info.
  11. It is extremely frustrating that this is true and hopefully we can get it righted, but it will take an effort from all of the moderators and not just a few. Quoted for truth.
  12. That's exactly the issue. I'm still trying to learn a lot but to be quite honest it's hard to find all the answers you need when you search and some BS just comes up, irrelevant to the question at hand, with no solution. Not saying that stupid, simple threads are justifiable, just that it gets real frustrating. I know I've learned a lot from this site in the short time I've been here but still got a LONG way to go. If people bitch and complain about the "beeing a dick attitude" we will have a bajilion WUT SUBZ R LOUDR threads... And I feel that telling people straight forward that they asked a question in a dumb way isn't an attitude like I mentioned above.
  13. Good luck with the goal man ! 150's daily isn't extremely easy (both to build and to listen to).

  15. That's how much those go around for ? I'm struggling to sell my XXV Thor, which is a step above the 200.1 for $450
  16. Good luck !
  17. I have tested in output over 2000w on an 80A fuse. Fuses don't blow instantly. Before you raise the bs flag.... the Audiopipe is the same thing as the Massive P3000.1, which was tested by a forum member up to around 3400w at 2 ohms. Gut pics and test results : http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=25084

  19. i'm sorry, but you PHAIL because there is no choice for a short sleeve shirt in the paragraph. notice my bolded sentence in your statement. but in all seriouseness, i wouldn't buy any because why the hell would you need a moss colored shirt? Why the need to write in such a large font ? I think the fail is on you since there is a choice for a short sleeved shirt...
  20. F) "Mr group president, can you actually read the labels on the shirts ? "
  21. If anyone has some experience with paypal : Is there any chance of getting screwed over on a sale if I have proof the product is not doa and I have tracking numbers ?
  22. I finally have a buyer for the Hifonics Thor and I feel a bit stressed out about the sale, even though the amp is tested and is in perfect working condition.
