Slight chance of port noise. Haven't done the math but if port area is well enough for a speaker, then I say flared or straight, it's a bit unlikely to make a diffrence to the ear.

The body is made out of steel...steel is less conductive than copper. The length of the ground wire doesn't really matter imo (as long as it's the same gauge as the positive run), since the body is not going to be as conductive as the wire. Also, there is another "bottleneck", the stock wire from the body / frame to the negative terminal of the battery.

You can flare them http://www.subwoofer-builder.com/flares-25mm.htm I personally used them and rounded over the port opening (along with some of the pvc). You can also cut some mdf rings, round over those openings and used them inside the box. As long as there is enough port area, port shape doesn't matter (use common sense when choosing the shape though).

Is it a dual 1 sub ? You could wire it like that, only thing is you will have to match the gains on both amps.

Managed to get stuck today with the Jeep Thank God for snow chains. The frickin mall-terrains drove very nice in the snow...to bad they really really don't like mud. Lesson learned, I need some good tires and possibly a locker.

Yeah government jobs are generally more stable. But they may be difficult to find at this time. I'm not sure if states out east are having similar budget problems as Kansas is (I imagine so, though), but because Kansas is currently in over $200 million in debt and unlike the Federal government states can't end the year in the red (year ends at the end of June), it has began a layoff plan. We have also been in a hiring freeze for about 3 months, and I doubt it will end before June. I was lucky to get my job just a couple of months before the freeze began, and one girl I work with got on like one week before. But if you can find a federal job you may be ok. I was gov't for a few years. My father in law is a contractor and I am going to cross my fingers in hopes I am able to get an interview with them. Good luck Aaron !
