  1. Midrange and midbass, I love you. A lot more than bass
  2. Considering the fuse is there for protection, I don't see why you would want more than 300A, only in the case you have massive current draw for sustained periods of time. 3/0 can support it, but are you drawing in excess of 300A ?
  3. Solid brass or copper. NOT steel. I've been using steel for a long time and had absolutely no troubles with it. No point in forking out money for brass / copper bolts. I know it will work, I just prefer to use brass. Because it is more conductive. Agreed it is more conductive. But I want to ask you this : what metal are you using as a negative conductor between your batteries ? Front to rear. I would be more concerned on the conductivity of that before beeing concerned with a 1-2 inch long bolt.
  4. DC can't induce any noise in a wire sitting next to it. I have six or seven installs with crappy RCA wire sitting next to 1/0 and NONE ever had noise trouble.
  5. Solid brass or copper. NOT steel. I've been using steel for a long time and had absolutely no troubles with it. No point in forking out money for brass / copper bolts.
  6. My desk, after drinking quite a few beers
  7. IF my projected midrange upgrade works, put me in line for buying a pair of 8's
  8. They are WAY over rated... clip very easy... and THD is off the charts...... All amps clip easy. It's just a matter of gain and input voltage. I won't argue that they are over-rated Good job on the box ! Think about a double baffle in the future. It's going to be rather easy to add
  9. Welcome to the club
  10. Very good looking install
  11. Out of your 30 posts, 9 are just "bump" Sorry, you really don't need to sell this here untill you have 25 posts of something valid. Locked.
  12. Much closer to being realistic now, the E should not be 30% more than the dollar and definitely not 70% like earlier in the year True about the Euro to Dollar gap. We haven't switched to Euro yet so I was reffering to the local currency. Even the Euro to local rate went up a lot
  13. If you plan on using an active crossover for the front stage, it's going to be easier to integrate the tweeters. You will need some sort of crossover if you choose the Seas. Can't use what came with the Polks
  14. This is ridiculous, Zapco ref 1100 went on ebay for $232 and it was in horrible cosmetic shape Too freaking expensive. And with the dollar to local currency rates, buying from the Us is almost 50% more expensive compared to July 08.
  15. Thank you ! Sucks about the gear sale. You have some cool gear, wish I had use for it
  16. Oh snap, exam tomorrow will be a killer
  17. Adrian_D replied to nem's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Killer midbass on an even more killer budget Mark, any thoughts on making an 8 inch version ? I remember some talk about 8's
  18. Bass boost does not replace the sub level control on the head unit, it's just a boost centered around 40-45hz.
  19. How can you get a cold in such a warm climate ?
  20. Sean
  21. How soon do you need it ? Did you check some torrents ?
  22. Turns out I studied from the wrong lecturs for a midterm. And I got A- on that midterm.
  23. Studying marathon for me
  24. It's starting to smell like spring over here
  25. Put the main fuse in the glove box for a week and try it after that
