I like the way they look Would preffer a bit wider baffle for added stregth.
  3. I think I may have fuxored up something in the Z1 Damn power supply was fluctuating down to 8v. I really really hope it's ok but not way to test it without winding that transformer.
  4. Hope you like it

  9. After over one year, I went to the mountains in the winter. Here are some pictures : In the left side of the picture there is a frozen lake...too bad I didn't have enough time to go there for some more pictures
  10. Photobucket isn't working
  11. An extra hand is always welcome
  12. Quoting the google bot doesn't work
  13. how do u know how to wind it right? by just trying to replicate the previous windings? I just replace the secondary coil windings with what I need (more / less windigs depending on what output voltage I want). What I'm working on now is just a simple step-down transformer. I need 4 identical 12-15v AC outputs (and about 1A should be enough). 4 wires, each 30ft long, all wound at the same time
  14. Hi !
  15. Going to buy some wire for the transformer tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can pull this off and wind it right.
  16. Might aswell try some html/php/mysql for one of the school projects. Writing some code here and there will hopefully be safe...
  17. Is that for your Z1? A small power supply so I can test big amps, like the Z1, Atomic 5000.1, 40.1...and others...without risking to blow everything up. Sounds like fun but tedious work. Good luck. VERY tedious and this is my second day of bad luck. Four tries to un-jumble wires and I only managed to waste time
  18. :bigclap:
  19. of? Winter scenery are these posted anywhere? Not yet. I'll try to do it today.

  21. Today was a bucket of fail. Worked all afternoon on modifying a transformer and all the wire for the windings got effed up on the first try. Second try and the cats sabotaged me, jumbling the wires 5 hours of work down the drain. Sweet.
  22. 3/4" and double baffle is what I recomend. If you can't use a double baffle, just brace the single as good as you can. I think you should be ok with an internal box depth of 6 inches.
  23. of? Winter scenery
