  1. I would blame the amp at first...it doesn't look too strong on the inside...certainly not 1.2kw For more output you could try tuning a little higher...32-33 maybe ?
  2. I read most of it. Definately a big diffrence between the last setup. Good luck with the build One thing I'm not fond of is the need for 2 component sets. With that kind of power I think one would suffice. Or at least use only one pair of tweeters if you really want to use the 5x7's
  3. A bit late...but hi Kent !
  4. Young one, are you joining the dark side ?
  5. If it's got stock gears it definately doesn't have enough power Take a peek on JeepForum.com, see what those guys have to say.
  6. Overkill is good
  7. Especially after working with wood
  8. cool but how do i keep the volts up passed 13.0 We never tried it with the engine on and I never said we were over 13v
  9. Nice work on the chest
  10. After some quick math I came up with 2.47 cubes before displacement. Some polyfill and thinner material with bracing should do the job right
  11. I suspect you checked http://www.steves-digicams.com/ before deciding on a model
  12. Hello loud. Not too many cheap crx's here.
  13. Who said welding wire isn't flexible ? If you want to pay extra for some fancy-pants transparet insulation, go ahead. But copper is still copper. You will have far more things to worry about when the temperature reaches that where insulation melts...
  14. One positive and one negative sounds pretty cool
  15. Car audio wire
  16. Have a good one Scott!!!
  17. It is enough juice From my experience you do not need an isolator. I tried one of those amps on 3 batts similar to the HC2400 in specs and during power tests the voltage didn't drop below 12.4V (car was off, batts were fully charged)
  18. They belong to a good friend of mine. One of them does 145.6 @ 38hz on a single 15" 4hp clone. I ran the Viper 2500.1 at 1 ohm...blew it thermally on the first day, fixed it and showed up the second day The other car in my class had the 2 Atomic 5000.1's (wink wink Kent) and 2 15" 4hp's. It sure beat the crapola out of me.
  19. Another comp today...managed to pull of a 144.4dB @ 36hz and 142.1dB on music..
  20. Shipping is not cheap I don't know how much an ssd18 wieghs, but somewhere around $120-150 for shipping is a good estimate. And that's with USPS. UPS is going to ask you over $300, that's for sure Quick math : Using ups you are probably going to end up around $500 using ups, $350 using usps (probably more) AND you will have to pay taxes since you will import it from outside EU. Slovenia is in the EU, just like the UK and considering it's a free market, you will not have to pay any tax.
  21. Cool pics ! Looks like a ton of fun
  22. Welding wire.
  23. Ok, enough posting...time to start working on the spl machine. Fake floor is done. Radiator is fixed. 1/0 negative is ran. Need to board up the rear of the car.
