I think the only problem with your statements about JL is the fact that you listened to them when they were either damaged or very poorly installed. I listened to a pair of 4.5" DLS's installed incorrectly and wasn't impressed at all. Boy did that chance when after an afternoon of work on the doors. Ever had the pleasure of listening to one of the drivers you considered better in the conditions you listened to the JL's ? Can't blame the company for the quality of the installers or the way people use their gear.

School was crappy today. Should've had 4 hours of seminars but one of the teachers was busy...so I only spent 2 hours at school. I hate it when that happens EDIT : Not that leaving 2 hours early isn't cool, but if I'm going to spend 2 hours on the road it better not be for a crappy seminar

What things are you studying ? Right now I've got a ton of C homework...but I just don't have enough motivation.

They might be correct when running it at 2 ohms stereo, but I have to fix one of the channels before I can try I also need measure the voltage drop at high levels and see how I can upgrade the cap bank. Maybe fill up the whole available space with caps...

And regrettably still ugly I like the Challenger better

Replaced one of the rezistors in the soft start circuit and the amp turned on. Problem is one of the channels is in protection, but it's a very simple AB amp and I've got the schematic. Just with the silly dmm method I've measured around 450w @ 4 ohms, on one channel. F'ing clip "detectors" turn on waaaaaay too soon.

Germany ? When ? July 16 to 26, final destination is Waldbronn (Karlsruhe) via Frankfurt. Stupid super busy week long meeting. A few days before with the W though. Hmm, there's a chance I may pass through Germany around those dates
