  1. That was not pleasant to hear
  2. The heads are out And the turbo is off the manifold. All it took was to invoke the old north gods and a bit more effort to remove one of the pesky nuts
  3. Time to get the orange overall on and head to the garage
  4. I'm thinking more of something I can build out of the leftover ply, sand, lead shot, resin and other wood I have laying around here The levitating stand will have to wait... I dare you to wall mount it That's just how I'm going to mount mine (well, as soon as I buy a TT )
  5. Wouldn't it affect it's transparency ?
  6. I'm getting an 05 xxx 18
  7. 3 hours to undo the last 4 bolts on the manifolds. Time to grind a bit the turbo housing so I can unbolt it easier from the manifold.
  8. Thanks Can I pick your physics knowledge about turntable stands? With the damn springy floor that I've got in the apartment...going wall-mounted would be ideal if not for damaging the wall Nice 'peekas
  9. The second one looks almost DIY'able except the plexi cover.
  10. I'm not going to buy anything untill I'm certain of the price.
  11. wow, the pucking "buildhouse" sure has some idiotic customer service. I ask for some prices and they ask me if I'm going to buy 300 of each of the items i requested a price for. dumfuks
  12. Bloody weak battery in the heep. Dad charged it yesterday and started the car just fine. Now it doesn't even crank. If it won't start after 30 mins of charging, I'm buying jumper cables. 1/0 of course.
  13. I concur
  14. only 25
  15. To be honest, I'm sure you'd be just fine with regular LEDs. have to figure out what size and where to get 'em though If it weren't your DD, you could just rip out the dash, check the size and then experiment with diffrent brightnesses (sp?!?!)
  16. I bet your tires are not happy
  17. The second one is just too much
  18. HUD's are 'spensive ! I really like the dash lights in the jeep. Good old fashion bulbs just like in the mk1. <-Nostalgic
  19. I had no clue about the studies...interesting stuff. Forgot to quote the Captain's post
  20. replace the stock lights with blue led's ? It's not bad on the eyes. The dash in the dub is that shade of blue and it's really nice at night.
  21. You put Tom do do all the hard work, didn't you ? Slavedriver ! BTW, very nice looking build
