my dad just recently bough a 99 4 door xj with the 4 ltr. 126k on the odometer, it's a solid truck, needs a few things (like me to make it go boom, lol), but overall, i'd own it. i think he paid $3500 for it. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee good year ! and nice price too if fuel prices and taxes would be low, i'd buy a 4.0 in a heartbeat. although once you register a car over here, you pay taxes for the motor it was registered with. so a motor swap from an identical model and identical year means same taxes. but i just can't let go of the 2.5 diesel fuel consumption
