  1. Well, I just bought an el-cheapo tablet to go in the Miata. For $90 I can't complain too much and won't be out of too much money if I sell it.
  2. Absolutely, nothing scares me. Except german cars. Heck, IMO both are easy to work on. Had it not been for 2 rusted bolts, I could have gotten the muffler out in 15 minutes. It took me 1 hour to change the radiator, start to finish.
  3. So glad one of the garages has a ditch. Welding up two holes in the Miata exhaust was rather easy (minus the burns from molten metal).
  4. I might have missed it, but does it use an active load?
  5. Any chance I can get a break down of what the fuck that is? And oh yea....those bastards. J Not sure what happened, cash is payed, car did not pass because of 2 holes in the muffler. Once those are fixed, I need to go back and get all the papers. Everything else is fine.
  6. Motherfucking local DMV-like authority. The Miata supposedly does not have a European Homologation and I had to pay $250. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE JUGHEADS?!? FUCKING COCKROACHES, thousands of Miata's roam the streets of Europe and mine's been registered before in Europe... And it's just the start, I still have to pay more to get 195/50R15's homologated instead of the stock 185/60R14's (circumference difference is just 0.2 inches). I hope I don't have to pay anything else extra for some stupid shit.
  7. Nice port Can't remember if yours is built for PVC pipe. If it is, how hard was it to find carboard tube for it? Now tune higher and get close to 150 on the dash
  8. I'll go to the local place which repairs locomotives and see what I can find. The Dracula's Draisine needs to happen
  9. I need an old bicycle for the downtube, pedals, rear sprocket and chain but what hurts my brain is what wheels to use.
  10. Since the downtown is riddled with tram tracks I had this wacky idea of building a draisine: If I can find wheels it's a go. Imagine the look on people's faces. Try to top this, hipsters As far as I can tell, there are no rules forbidding such a vehicle.
  11. Hot dang, she's crazy !
  12. Where's the Dracula's Droptop build log? Working on it, I'll start taking pictures Dracula's Droptop, awesome
  13. Miata's got a new radiator. Going tomorrow to get the car inspected so I can then register it.
  14. After using Outlook for almost 2 years, Alt+S is a nice feature
  15. When I ordered the W3's for the Passat install, one arrived with the voice coil stuck and Madisound sent another mid. If QC is the main concern, it's not that scary.
  16. Another 2 tweeter options: http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/soft-dome-tweeters/tang-band-28-1177sb-1-textile-dome-tweeter/ the TB is apparently close to the 1" Vifa in performance. http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/vifa-soft-dome-tweeters/vifa-ne19vts-04-3/4-silk-dome-tweeter-4-ohms/ This is the smallest out of the the 3. I'm tempted to buy the TB and dremel away at the mounting flange to make it smaller.
  17. 3-way would require 2 extra channels and extra processing which a 2x4 minidsp doesn't have. I'm having troubles thinking about a tweeter or FR location, I'd have twice as many for a 3-way front stage For the moment, I need to buy the amp and tweeters and it will be functional. I already have a Pioneer cd-player and the amp can handle processing.
  18. Do people never read before they tap "Send"? Tisk tisk tisk...
  19. Hopefully nobody got hurt.
  20. That's a good use for a widescreen.
  21. I fucking hate tabs. Why did anyone ever think they were a good idea. Someone without a widescreen obviously.I feel the exact opposite. Seriously? Why are they advantageous? When you don't use them you can have a full list of what is open and click on anything, alt-tab/mouse to whatever you want instantly. With tabs you have to sort through all the shit. Holding Ctrl+Tab shows me a list, just like Alt+Tab. and when you do it in windows the list is always open, no need to click shit What Windows lists all open windows?
  22. I want one of those engines...in the Jeep.
  23. Reminds me of when my cat got it's head stuck in a bag. It bolted out the door, tried to go under the gate, I heard a big "bang!" and she turned around confused.
  24. Former co-workers are going on a hiking trip close-by on the same day I have to help dad slaughter a pig Thinking about helping as much as possible, jump on a train, with the bike, ride to the village closest to the trail start and hike from there. From the train station the whole route is 14 miles long, out of which 10 are doable by bike. Would be a tough trip to do alone since I can't join the others early morning. And there's the risk of hiking in the dark if I'm not fast enough. People in that village should be friendly, so I have a place to leave my bike safely. I've done the whole route 2 years ago and an adventure would suit me just fine right now. If only I can find a train at the right time.
