It's too much work to take out the dash, not something I want to go through. Most of the times I use the foot and windscreen vents. The driver's side dash vent is blocked by my hand while driving. But I'll look some more into that location.

Thanks We ripped a spider right after the competition because we got used speakers and one had a worse spider design. It would reach xsus quicker and the cones would hit. Pretty confident we can pull off a better score with 2 identical speakers.

That sounds like the intro of some movie. I still can't comprehend why people throw away simulations and say it performs completely opposite. Heck, on paper my cheap SPL setup was louder with 2 woofers in isobaric configuration than 2 in a normal configuration. And the paper results applied to real life.
