Oh god, when I lived in Chicago a $250 weekend was cheap. A couple weeks ago I dropped around $600 in one outing, "wine sale" my arse. You've got more money than me... Plus thank god this isn't chicago... I'm looking at the 600-1k I've spent on alcohol so far this year and I'm tinking what audio stuff I could have bought with that.... the "oh my, how much gear i can buy with that money" phrase keeps me from starting to smoke

it is very hard to predict how much you will gain by doubling the power. the theory says that by doubling your power, you gain 3dB. yes, this works for 1w to 2w or 20w to 40w, low power levels in general. but in your application you have a lot of power so you need a strong electrical system to be able to handle such increased power levels. and there are other things that come will afect the final score if you double the power. only way to tell what you will gain is to try it.

it's VERY hard to tell if you will gain anything. sure, in theory you gain 3dB, but you could gain a lot more than that or not gain anything.

it's a golf R32. a mk4 with a 3.2 L v6. if yours is from 96 it is a mk3. the floor of the hatch is a tiny bit smaller but the total VOLUME is identical.
