Anyways, I got called back, red 94, soft-top, a bit of rust, paint looks good, 90k miles. The guy was asking 1300 euros, he said he would let it go for 1000. He promised to send me pictures of the rusty areas. But for the price, if it's in good mechanical condition, it's a bargain.

Interesting. IMO there are only two colors a car should be. Black or black I love the Jeep in black, personally I wouldn't have it in other color. But it's a pain to keep clean. Our roads are much much dirtier.

No worries, it was sold some time ago. They're rampant idiots, when you have a car for sale you answer your damn phone. Not unusual. Fuckers at my company don't even have voicemail. Have to say I called once on the car, got no answer and then forgot. Sorry for that.

I swapped over PCB's with the Verizon phone I bought cheap and I can finally hear people over the phone without keeping the volume at full tilt.

Miata I was looking at is sold. There are 2 others, at 50 miles from Frankfurt (so close to where i have a flight), one with, one without hardtop. Everybody keep their fingers crossed I can get the one with hardtop

Averaging 45 on the roads here is quick. Speed limits are 30 in towns and villages and we have 3 small stretches of freeway, other than that, 2-lane roads with the occasional 3 lanes on inclines. I did 200 miles in 5 hours. Total crap...

Time Attak and similar styles >>> SPD's. Getting a floating binding is much better on your knees. I use the Look equivalent that I bought used on CL. Seems like this is the way to go. Glad I asked, time for some research I hate SPD's as much as I hate road bike pedals. My boss tore his ACL thanks to road bike pedals. Effin' slippery in a bakery part way through a ride. Slippery pedals are horrible. So much so I'd have to have slippery pedals in morning traffic. Fingers crossed the auction does not climb so I can get the Time Atac's I found in Europe

2 more years of school, this is going to hurt. At least I joined together with some friends to make it easier, ie share projects, lecture notes...

And I'm going to buy SPD pedals and shoes. Gave it a try on a friend's bike, it's awesome to both push and pull on the pedals. And having a stiff shoe helps comfort on long rides.

I bought a pair of Reebok's with spongy soles, it's a nice feeling, thinking of not using then when I take the bike though.
