  1. Both I never said I won the lottery you know you want that Ducati, there was no point in asking others for their opinion! Fookin motorcycles
  2. Both I never said I won the lottery
  3. Miata means one of the garages will be completely occupied, I won't be able to leave the suspension alone and I'll definitely try to take it to the track. But a second car, especially a convertible sounds good. Low taxes because of the small engine. The Monster looks like a million bucks, I'd probably spend less for taxes, maintenance and upgrades than for the Miata. It's usable only 6-8 months a year. It sounds great and looks great.
  4. That question is the bane of my current existence.
  5. Miata or Ducati Monster?
  6. Cheap and stupid is the project's motto. At least for the first box I'm going with particle board. Resined inside. If I can muster 141+ with the particle board, MDF should get me closer to the goal. I'm still unsure how much cone excursion helps in getting a big score. In simulations the BTL 12 barely moves at 50Hz yet it's killer on the meter (consistent 151.4dB with 3500w). So one thing Project stupid will do is help me understand this sport some more.
  7. Pyle bluewaves? Whatever I can find locally. Big-ass particle board box, big ass port, Zapco power
  8. Looks like "Project Stupid" is a go, time to crush some DD fanboys. Going to buy 2 $25 10 inch subs and run in the under 800w class. 142+ dB sealed on the dash is the goal.
  9. 250 - 300 Hz the low-pass for the sub? You are getting way into frequencies where bass is easily to locate and you will have mono midbass. It will sound like crap more than likely... The previous replies have all been helpful, there's no ideal on-paper LPF. Midbass plays an important role in how you perceive the entire bass spectrum so the more midbass you have, and the lower you can HPF the midbass speakers and have output, let's say 50-60 Hz, the better for bass perception. You cross the sub to match the midbass. Entirely application dependent, I LPF my sub at 40Hz, it doesn't mean it will sound good in your install.
  10. Pretty bad move not to buy tickets for all 3 days of the festival, there are some cool activities during the day. Oh well, next time
  11. Is that you, Bear?
  12. After drinking firewater I have to agree with you. It did not even seem strong. Just a bad tasting liquor.
  13. I'll have to post my lunch view, you'll love it.
  14. You could be in a 120 degree warehouse infested with Mosquitos sniffing fishmeal dust. This is true, I drove a forklift for a few months to get by between layoffs in an aluminum extrusion plant where I don't want to know the levels of heat that were reached. Worst I've been was 10 hour straight (not even a lunch break), mid-summer, lots of dust, on the backhoe. The pay was worth it !
  15. We will get Romania level drunk. And beyond! You can light the good stuff on fire...
  16. We will get Romania level drunk. And beyond!
  17. Another festival this weekend, moar fun awaits!
  18. Matt, grooveshark = fucking awesome. For that, when I will be in the US you get firewater.
  19. Shit, how did you know my ritual?
  20. I'm a bit bummed that I don't have enough vacation days to visit Greece this summer, it's way cheaper than going to the Romanian sea-side and leaps and bounds better.
  21. You won't need 4 days in Amsterdam... Fuck it, we'll just do it! Plane tickets and hotel reservations are all bought With plane tickets as cheap as they are now, I don't see a problem visiting a lot of big cities in the near future.
  22. You drinking blood again, Dracula? The blood of maidens
  23. Definitely going to get a bigger SD card and spare battery. 5 days in Berlin (job related) then 1 day and night in London and 4 days in Amsterdam as vacation.
  24. And I ordered a Leek composite and some progressive bump stops for the rear of the Jeep. No more hard bottoming out.
