Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Back from the roadtrip... Cut bumper was a success, the car no longer feels sluggish after longer periods on-boost and the oil temperature drops after the load goes down. I even spent ~2 minutes at max EGT's (1000F for the stock tune) and everything was gravy with the temperatures. Onwards with the big snail and extra fuel ! Oh yeah, it was also fun chasing an X5 on switchbacks. On turns I was faster but as soon as things opened up...it was a 4.4i IIRC

I bet it feels bad:( One of my grandparent's dogs (2 were left at the country house after my grandparents died and they stayed next to the house, some neighbors fed them during the week) developed some pretty ugly tumors. We took it to a vet in town and his reply was basically put it down or let it live where it always lived. It died right after my aunt went there the next week. It's crushing to see an animal in pain.

Probably, the intercooler fan shroud is part of the radiator shroud and the fan pulls air through the intercooler too. But it's small compared to having cool airflow at speed. For the oil cooler I had to open up a hole behind it since it was just sitting between the bumper and the front crossmember. Anyway, knowing Mopar and how they made sure everything is up to the task, I think letting air in is the best idea. Heat soak is very very obvious. And seeing intake temps 120F above ambient definitely means that there is room for improvement.

Why did you drill holes in your bumper???I'm guessing airflow to his intercooler. Indeed! Thanks to Mopar's design, it's sitting behind the bumper with no vents. I couldn't find thick mesh, so I drilled holes in my 1 euro bumper I'm going to turn up the fuel. 2 people here have reported that the car with a tune is no longer a dog. I can't get a tune for mine since it doesn't have an ECU, so I have to go old-school on the fueling.

768 holes drilled in the bumper and countersunk. Time to primer them and after I get back from the roadtrip and finish up the bumper I'll send it in for powdercoating

Am I right? Yeah, I helped some scrappers take apart 3 buses and I had to move around 2 totaled cars. Fun times I tell you Case 580G in the movie, mine is a generation newer. And thus cooler

Since this is my last week at Emerson, I might as well take the backhoe to work one day.

Heard an interesting saying at the festival while I was playing the pick-up game...you win some, you lose many

Oil change, messy stuff. Drain pan for the oil pan, for the filter (damn horizontal mount) and for the oil cooler.

Jump rope workout went much better with some tunes in the background. I've also installed a pull-up bar to try and get some more strength in the pull-up department by doing a couple of sets after cardio, on rest days.

Today I put to use an amp I've been storing for a friend and an old pair of bookshelves. No more crappy radio in the garage. Also bought another Ipod as a source. If I could find a cheap ipod socket charger I wouldn't have to worry about charging the ipod in the house. Good tunes in the garage

The weekend was not a loss, I went to the festival last night, that's a shot from the Pendulum performance. Festivals are pretty fucking awesome.

And as of today I'm going to quit taking customers. I'm done slaving away every afternoon. I'd rather sit in a chair in the backyard or go swimming. After 8 years of doing this I've had enough. My own personal projects are rotting away, my social life is partly hurt because I'm slaving away (I have little energy to go out after spending 4-5 hours in the afternoon sun slaving away for a customer) and my patience runs thin. The only positive thing about it is that I never get bored but I can do something else instead to keep my mind busy.

Muthafucking rain !!!!!!! Today I finally find a group of friends to join and go to a big electronic music festival. I can't go on Sunday since I have a bike ride planned on Monday morning to avoid the heat. The plan is set up, a customer comes to pick up his car today at 8PM and I'm out the door at 9PM. But NOOOO, it starts to rain really bad at 8 something. I call somebody at the festival, it's raining there too, obviously I won't go sit out in the rain. Had it caught me there it wouldn't have mattered. Figures that the bike trails are all mud, so no more biking on Monday. Hopefully no rain tomorrow evening so I can go to the festival and salvage this weekend. On top of everything my SIM card poops out so I'm whoring up dad's phone. Fucking yay...another saturday in.

I could pull the Orion 2500D out and see if it still works. Might shut down my car. That would be fun, I bet it's going to work just fine for burps Last weekend I wired 2 Z1's on the BTL. Burp was way more brutal but the amps shut off before the TL could register a good score.

Road trip next weekend (to a competition) so next week I have to: Change oil (it's due) Drill holes in the extra bumper to vent the oil cooler. Good thing I now have a drill press. Quite a bit of work on ducting though. Try to install the mmats lm2125 for the mids and run in an SQ competition. Turn up the fuel pump, 400 miles is a good distance to test and see how things behave Install the boost gauge.

Heck, use a dual 1 ohm sub and it's even easier.
-
Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Should be easy in the P5...sub up, port to the side, add some power, some flares and BAM. With a Zcon 12 and ~2000w I'd expect you to break 146dB quickly.

At least you found the hole. That is usually the goal.... Isn't that always the goal? Bonus points if it's wet, so I guess Matt struck gold.
