Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Theo, did you guys get the blizzard? It's stupidly cold with this blizzard, my hands froze going to work this morning by bike And I barely pedaled up a slope I usually go fast on, because of the wind.

I'm tempted to get myself really drunk after I finish this stupid car, just to forget what I had to do

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I hate this fucking car, time to solder the joints and call it a night.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Considering the wiring I have to fix is subjected to bending (door opening and closing and it's the wire connecting the door to the car), what would be the best way to fix cut wires? Just a simple twist or solder? I have had solder joints fail but that was on ridiculously small wiring or when only a few strands of the original wire were left because most were cut when removing the insulation. The backhoe wiring repair was done only with solder and it did not fail yet but it's not subjected to bending anywhere.

Stomach soup is delicious as long as it's done right. If not it's be disgusting.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Fucking stupid people who remove wiring insulation with knives... Turns out the window problem was caused by a wire which had 2-3 strands left after removing the insulation and after so many times of opening and closing the door it failed.

It's the worst project I ever tackled. It tops the Civic trunk which I had to do during finals and while working on the graduation project.

Just as I did the final check on the BMW electrical, the passenger side window doesn't work. The relay clicks but no power goes to the motor. After working all saturday on the door wiring for the driver's side (cut wires, no insulation, nothing soldered, pure crap waiting to catch fire), I take apart the loom going to the passenger door and find the same crap. INCREDIBLE, way more work on this POS. This project is way past the point it's profitable. I just put in time on wiring which will never be seen.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Speaking of projects, I now have all the parts I ordered for the bike. And I bought all stainless steel hardware for the fenders, one winter was ROUGH on anything that wasn't painted. So I will have some parts to sandblast and powdercoat.

Hearing a Ducati Monster yesterday didn't help my itch to buy one. After the raise in May I'm starting a fund to buy one.

My S3 is invisible And the Milestone has a TON of scratches, dings and even a gaping hole in a corner. Can't complain too much for $80. Battery lasts 2 days+

My memory is very weird. I remember all the silly details but I went to the gym today and I forgot to take my wallet to get some money from an ATM. And I forgot to take some from the ATM at work. I can't believe it

I'll have to stick with enclosures and fresh installs. No more fixing crap made by others. Enclosures are so much more rewarding and relaxing it's unreal.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I lost all my focus and motivation working today on the BMW. That fucking install fix went into a break over winter and I restarted last week. Worked the whole Saturday for the left door, the crap that was done is unimaginable. Burnt wires, no insulation (not even some tape), absolutely appalling. Today I start to connect the A-pillar with gauges and none of the wiring made fucking sense. 3 different wires going through 3 different grommets in the engine bay? I mean really, you install 3 gauges and wire them like total crap. And everything related to the air-ride suddenly stopped, right after I put the air-ride gauges and buttons back in place. I'm 90% sure what's wrong but it's under the false floor, under the enclosure. And the enclosure is a piece of crap, it takes TWO hours to put it back and align it with the cosmetic panel in the trunk, the guy who built it was probably drunk or stoned. I'm fixing all the wiring I can this week, cashing the money for the work and FAREWELL! That thing is never going to drive in my garage again. Not even on my street.

Some guy in the UK, MegaHeavyBass was his name. I believe he started a competition called propper droppers where they would measure 15-40Hz and average 5 measurements. To each their own I say !

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I have two at work, a 19" 4:3 and a 17" 16:9 and dual monitor fucking rocks I will probably get used to the 16:9 But until this one really bites the dust, I'm not changing it. 10 years and counting.

Big sigh of relief, I don't have to buy a monitor, as I don't particularly like wide screens.

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I am going to call my PC screen Lazarus. About 3 years ago the backlight went off and after 24 hours it went back on. Today it went off again and I decided to investigate. Once I had most of the screen back I tested it. No image but the backlight worked. After putting everything back together it works again. Lesson learned, do not open it again, at least no more than to see if the backlight powers supply works.
