anyone?? sub is coming today and want to have this installed asap

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh so I got the box built yesterday and it's like a half an inch too deep for my truck si I have to grind out some metal to make it fit and there is like bearly any room above the box for the sub to go... so how do i go about flush mounting the driver? because I dont think the driver will fit with the excursion of the cone moving up and down.. so what do i do...?

I was actually making a ported box for the Cvrs but they were stolen durig the build. they were the 2001 model old as dirt lol. the only reason I was asking is to see if the bl will be around the same about of output. I'm getting it in 5 days so stoked. Just wondering how loud this baby will get my car Is a two door 97 tercel so it gets loud easy

hmmm since we are talking about cvrs...might as well ask this I had 2 cvr 15's in a sealed box sups facing up running off a jl bp1200.1 do you think that one fi 15" BL in a box that is 4.02ft^3 @ 32hz subs facing up port back, with the same amp. will be just as loud if not louder then the two cvrs?

I won't forget it I'll post it up as soon as I get the sub next month

Might want to recalculate those, I fail to see how you can have a 14"h port when the enclosure is only 14"h. No, the math is right, I'm just a damned goof for saying it was 14", the port height is 12.5". 5.25 times 12.5 is 65.6 divide that by 4.2 (net box size) that equals 15.6sqin per cuft. like i said earlier all the math is a little quick, but good enough to work by. The enclosure and the tuning are correct, I just wasn't thinking when I mentioned the port height. well I threw your dimensions into the cal on here PORT Size Calculations and Formulas for WOOFER and Subwoofer BOXES and It only comes out with 29.36 inches for the port? is this right? I thought it should be around 48-64sqin

well every time I enter what I have for the box tuned at 33hz I only get 24 inches of port

blah I guess I'll have to pay someone around me to design it or whatever I have no idea what to do to make the port length the length I need or anything

Yup, and port area. well damn can anyone get me the correct dimensions for an enclosure with the same tuning and correct port length?

damn I didn't even see that but if the ports are 13.25 plus the .75 mdf on both sides would this effect tuning?

when you say just un 28" what is that lol like 27.8? and the dimensions for the 33hz box are the same as the other one(14"H x 30"W x just under 28") right?

Target size for the enclosure will be around 4-5cu the dimensions I gave in my previous post the enclosure was 4.61 after displacement of the sub I will be putting 45's in all the corners so I have to compensate for that also

Anybody will just state the problem and all the available information you have to share and could make solving your problem easier. I had already stated the problem in my previous post...I gave you the dimensions of a box (H14" W30" D28") I quickly came up with on exposports calc but I'm unsure about how to make the port to the appropriate port length?

Ok well I am going to be buying a 15 BL here soon and I just found out that the entrance of my trunk is 15" maybe 15.5" so there's no real way to have it facing back how should I set up the box since I can't do it this way? dimensions of trunk are H15" W32" D30"
