  1. Having trouble finding the fenders I need for this project. But I’m working on it. Just wish I could find me a nice set of fenders before I cut anything.
  2. Ok, Went outside during the rain under the shed and snapped a couple of pics. As you can see, this a almost complete stock truck. What I plan to do is take the dash completely apart and make it completely smooth. No air vents, gauges, controls, ect ... Then make cut outs for a HCLD and 8" driver on each side. Should be interesting. Hopefully going to a junk yard and find an extra dash or two to screw up on. LOL
  3. Dammit !!! Wish I could start on this immediately, but the Phantom part needs to be done first and foremost. Thank you guys for the info !!!
  4. Thank you for the info. When I decide to move on this, first thing needs to be to rip my dash apart and see what will actually fit. Because actually if everything goes as I’m thinking, There will be an 8” driver directly under the HLCD. Should be interesting.
  5. Dammit, Wish I had a Facebook. He’s the one that designed Image Dynamics products ?? Correct ?? I forget shit like this ... Thank you Sir.
  6. Sean, Thank you. It seems to me (and yes, I’ve demo’d Vehicles with HLCD) that with installation limited to “under the dash” made tuning difficult. I’m thinking up top of the dash just under the windshield would make wonders in tuning. Especially with time alignment. Still don’t figure I would need a processor. I think my head unit should have no problems tuning HLCD. But if I need to upgrade while tuning, I have access to a Helix.
  7. I will snap some pics of my dash for you guys to help me come up with something cool.
  8. A similar post wasn’t put up on another forum and the dreaded question got asked. What’s your plans for Audio ??? LOL So my dumb ass wheels got to spinning and I thought about (since I have no problems cutting this truck) going with a full bodied HLCD setup integrated into the dash. My question is can someone get these any more ??? Please keep in mind this is just a thought and don’t want to get too deep with this at this time. Just seems like something cool to try out. What you guys think ???
  9. Thank you Sir. It’s different for sure.
  10. I miss my White Lightning. Man could name his price and I would buy it back in a heartbeat.
  11. I had a Mazda B2000 back in the day. Memories ... Thank you Sir !!!
  12. Phase one is done. Static 4/6" drop complete. Just needs some frame notch work now. I know, that shitty bumper has got to go !!! No worries, Steel Roll Pan is on the way guys !!! Next step, Dually Fenders !!!
  13. Small Vid Dylan made for the truck.
  14. Ok. Finally working on the front suspension drop !!! DJM 2" lowered springs and 2" drop spindles for a total 4" drop. In true fashion with these old trucks, cutting of the lower control arms is required. way it goes I guess, My son is doing most of the work ... LOL
  15. Should have the front suspension lowered this weekend. started on it this afternoon. But as always, I got called out.
  16. I agree. Love the "stealthy factory" look. Nice work.
  17. I have no idea on how to do this.
  18. Welcome to SSA
  19. I agree. Those wheel and tire Combo was expensive back then. Hate to see what they would cost now. The only thing I had was not having dual wheels meant to me that they weren’t actual dualy trucks. Sick looking none the less. My plans are to start out with stock dually Steel wheeels and work from there. I’d love at set of bad ass Alcoa wheels but don’t think they will be so easy to find used and don’t really have funds for new at this time. Think I will be ahead of the game here if I can find me a set of really nice fat fenders. Might be cheaper off by buying an ole one ton truck just to get parts. There’s plenty of them around here, just got to find exactly what I’m looking for so I can sell parts I don’t need to invest in the truck I’m working with.
  20. Oh yea, back then it was all about MAJOR cone area. Miss those days. Once seen a truck with 32 10s. Looked Amazing !!!
  21. Thanks Guys. Back then, I had a Black Single Cab SWB Truck. Converting it to a Phantom would not have looked good. Didn’t get White Lightning until 1997. Not sure why, but thoughts of a Phantom just never came up. She would have been sick as a Phantom. Damn I miss that truck !!! The only reason why we are not working on an Audio System at this time is we want to stay focused on the Phantom setup. This is going to have a lot of metal cutting and fabricating, lowering, and Air Ride (front and rear). Gave serious thoughts about a double diamond tilt bed setup with this. You know, old school purposes !!!
