  1. Mark is more "in your face" SPL whereas Aaron is more "Sound" oriented. Well, seeems that way from talking to them at events.
  2. Oh jeez, I've been told this one before. Yea I know, Cable is suppost to be a "closed loop system". LOL
  3. Gotcha. I'm a broadband Cable electronics technician is why I asked. So when you guys over modulate, you interfier with cable channels 16, 17, 18, and 19. Use to be a common problem for us old schoolers until digital haystacks came out. Now cable comapnies are getting rid of analog channels all together.
  4. So when you are saying "Base unit", you are not referring to a non-moveable setup ?? Most base stations I've seen will not move and their antennas are huge. Oh, what frequiency do you normally transmit ?? What happened to the Kenwood ??
  5. just shoot this guy a PM and he will get you taken care of. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/user/3-aaron-clinton/
  6. Dang bro, That's alot of wire !!! Nice !!!
  7. Yea, I guess. I'm getting away from the whole "Cablguy" thing. Just having to get it changed on other forums too.
  8. That's cool there Andrew. May can do something like this to my 49 verses Dakota Digital. Hopefully I can meet up with you at the next big event and discuss it.
  9. I've seen people / Competitors do this when they compete in Sound Quality AND SPL competition. They have their time aligned sub in the center console and their SPL setup beyond the "B" pillar with alot higher tune. Now when they have to go through the lanes, they have to remove their high end and SQ sub amps cause they will\ count towards the total amplifier output power and would put them in higher classes. Most SPL classes have limitations on number of amplifiers and total amplifier output. But as far as daily drivers go, No Sir, I have not seen a need to have this done.
  10. Check the event listings on their website. Sorry, but I'm not near my laptop to look it up and post a link.
  11. I have a Cobra 29 CB in my truck. Got one in my son's truck too.
  12. Sounds Good Brother. I will be waiting on your PM.
  13. Fellow GMT400 owner !!! Welcome to SSA
  14. Tuned In
  15. Lol. Care to elaborate or make a suggestion? Good questioon. Looks like this is one of the latest products on the market. They are just now taking pre-orders. I run the Kenwood DNX9980HD btw. Very nice headunit for Sound Quality, but it does have the navigation feature that you are not looking for.
  16. Paying for something that last for 25 years or better and that product works just as good today as the day you bought it would seem well worth the money to me. Wouldn't you agree ?? I'm sure that I've got my money's worth 10 fold out of the Drivers that I own. So If they ever go bad, I think I will drive over to the Manufacturer to purchase some new ones and not worry about recones.
  17. I know what you can do Sir, Spring Break Nationals in Daytona Beach is this weekend. Why don't you go down there and talk to PSI personally ?? I'm sure that they will be down there doing what no other manufacturer does, and that's building drivers on location for competition. They will be building drivers Friday and Saturday nights for next day competition runs. Been doing this for the last few events there that I know of. Maybe you can get your answers there ???
  18. Ok Brother, No need to bust my balls any further. Its aparant that you have an absolute hard on to discredit the name of PSI. I'm cool with that. I was just posting my thoughts on a single driver and not necessarily praising the company. Customer brought me a sub needing an enclosure build and I provided a service to get that customer satisfied. Nothing more. Now we are moving on to the next project. I got paid for my services and bought a case of Budweiser and some food for the BBQ Grille. Done as far as I'm concerned. So I will Leave this one alone since I have absolutely nothing to do with PSI. Now as far as the drivers that I used in my truck, They were built in the early 90s and to this day DOES NOT NEED ANY RECONES. I could reinstall my enclosure / drivers tomorrow, throw a meter on it, and still hit a 137.7 db at 28 htz as usual AND THEN PLAY through the Chesky Records Collection Disc with very accurate music reproduction. I do not mistreat anything I own. I haven't looked to anybody for over 25 years to recone my drivers, So why should I worry about that now ???
  19. After talking to several SPL competitors in Hunstville, CT Sounds put on a WAY better showing than Skar Products. I do not run these products, but I have seen several of these amplifiers in SPL competitor vehicles.
