  1. True ... Geez this is soo true !!!
  2. Awesome Vid ... May have to try this
  3. Dang ... Nice Truck !!!
  4. Sounds like you need to invest in a Battery Bank for the rear of your vehicle With adequate wiring and charging power ... One battery up front with atleast 3 to 4 batteries near the amplifiers ... Take a look a DangRebel's (Clint) setup ...
  5. I'd really like to demo this setup ...
  6. I wish ... Best of luck to all competitors that atend this event !!! May the Force be With You !!!
  7. Awesome Vid ... Where was the mic ??
  8. Awe shit yea!! I can't wait to hear!! We need another meetYes we do ... and to be honnest with you, If I can get my way ... I will not be using my truck either ...
  9. Sorry guys ... But I still find it hard to understand why people spend soo much on bass "just to get loud" and go cheap on the rest of the setup ...
  10. Anything "bass edited" is not clean bass to me ... Yes, I play a lot of Bass Mechanik in my truck but it is nothing I would consider "clean and tight" bass ... If you want true clean tight "snappy" bass, I would suggest looking into Sheffield Labs or chesky records recorded music ... Their music will give any well built system a challenge ... Just hope your amplifiers are up for the challenge !!!
  11. I will be competing this year without subs ... But with the upgrades being done to my front stage ... It should have no problems picking up the slack ...
  12. Then again, what's up now is very early in the season. I'm sure a lot more will be posted soon ... Especially (for me) the Mississippi events ... Also, I'm sure there will be some USACI events too. I just haven't had time to browse through the USACI event listing site ...
  13. several events listed on the MECA site in Lebanon, Tn ...
  14. absolutely ... I've run Walmart batteries in my vehicles for years with no problems ... I really like their warranties, but never had to use them ... LOL
  15. Since you are planning to run Ethos ... I would suggest asking DSS what they recommend would work best for that particular setup ... Voice coil and enclosure specs would help ...
  16. Yes ... what stock speaker configuration is in your vheicle ?? I'm thinking you can find upgraded driver brackets for your doors if that particular vehicle had the Bose upgrade option ... ... and best of luck with the court thing ...
  17. Both ... if possible
  18. I had the pleasure of listening to those "super tweeters" a couple of times ... and to be honnest, that was a couple of times too many ... I agree with Sean. Upgrade to a nice component set ... Absolutely ... A basic power amplifier with little to no gain level matched to the headunit /processor works REALLY well ... The basis for power, headroom, dynamics, and Clarity ...
  19. Does your headunit have an EQ to smooth things out ???
  20. Most SQ vehicles have absolutely no problems with this ... Don't believe me ?? Just have a seat in ole White Lightning ... I will be glad to que up some AC/DC "For Those About to Rock" for ya ... I agree with this ... Except for the "which I believe is still the winningest car in history" part ... and I believe that would be Mark Eldridge (the SQ Nascar) standing on top of that pedistal ...
  21. Go to your local welding supply shop and put your hands on some ... I usually cut my desired lengths and take them back to get connectors installed. Those old welders might not know what your intended use is but DANG do they know how to install a good connector ...
  22. Gotcha ... Gonna be a tight fit for three. Worst case you could (if you plan to trailer the truck) is not to have a alternator for the truck itself ... I know of plenty of 1/4 mile race cars with no alternators ...
  23. I've looked at the 4.3 in depth. I would remake the whole braket. It would be pretty nutty, but thats the only way i see it being done. I dont really see where an add on braket could be placed. Lemme look some more. What output alternators is this ??? You think you will need more than a pair of 280s ???
