No need, Its all good brother ... Just find it hard to believe that with as much time he's spent trolling my build logs that Sean let the information of "I'm Sponsored" completely slip his mind ... It happens I guess. No worries though ... And as far as his anology goes ... doesn't really matter to me when Sean tells me things after he has made statements like this ... hmmm ... Wonder who he is talking about here ??? So as far as Mustangs go, Think I have me a lead on a Mustang 2 Front suspension setup for the 49. Hopefully we can get something going on this with air ride soon (if I can talk the wife out of the funds) ...

Drama ... Not really, but I do like Posting up my build log so that my car can be seen by anyone who wants to view it and comment on it ... However, I do not care to repeat my self, the Sponsorship subject has already been covered in this thread ... If you know me in any way, Brands like Linear Power, Blues Car Audio, and Hyper Automotive LEDs and HIDs should be a no brainer ... I am just as dedicated to this group as the members here are to Team IAK and Team SSA. Now I'm not sure about you, but down here in the South ... We go to the 1/4 mile race tracks !!! ALOT !!! And I've been to more than my share of midnight street drags too ... Don't get me wrong, I love my V8 Fords and Chevys, But I've seen plenty of 4 bangers and V6s stand up and hold their own against some of the strongest V8s out there ... "Go big or go home" or "do more with less" Just as in Car Audio, this still goes out on steet cars and race cars as well ... With power adders (Turbos, superchargers, Nitrus Oxide, ect ...), suspension tricks, body modifications, tuning (plays a BIG roll these days), build quality, man this list goes on and on ... Its alot more of an even playing field than it used to be ... All depends on how you build your ride !!! I remember back in 87 when the Grand Nationals came out with the Turbo V6s and practically blew away everything out on the track ... V8s are monsters, but can be beat ... Guy on our team has a 92 Mercury Capri with a 4 cyl / turbo charger setup installed that will flat out haul ass and suprise you greatly in the quarter mile ... and if I was a betting man, I would bet on that Capri in the quarter against the average street / bracket tuned V8 mustang anyday ... just saying Will I ever build this 49 to race street or track ??? Who knows, guess we will cross that bridge when we get there ... I do have a 1/4 Race car built Chevy 454 setting on a motor stand if I really gave it some thought ...

Didn't get much done to the car this weekend cause I had to make some quick cash for parts ... So I got Rickey's Mustang set up with a set of Hyper Automotive LEDs and HIDs Under Body Kit and Hub Glow Kit ... Yes, the man has 22s on this Mustang !!!

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Thank you for you concern on this matter and thank you very much for filling me in on what's going on. I will not bother you guys again with my build and I promise not to ever post on this forum again ... I will be glad to take my business elsewhere ... Later guys !!!

We cool brother ... Just imagine what would happen if we met up for a fooseball game or two ...

I will buy that the guy has no budget. But when he is doing something that costs more......If the guy with the V8 is trying to show the guy with the V6 how he too can get a V8 for less than the cost of the v6 is that being a prick? Maybe I have brain damage. In my eyes Sean was helping him to spend less, and learn something and he didn't want to hear it. I must have missed something in the thread. All I asked for was not to bad mouth people or product in my build log ... And this was about active vs passive (well, started out that way) and Quention is absolutely correct when I must go with what the sponsors want done. That's the way it is with all sponsors, you want to play their game ... Play by their rules. And I told Sean that if I need to go completely active ... No problem, I have the equipment to make it happen ... Attention ??? Yes Sir ... Because of forums like this, I don't have time to clean my truck or hook up my Astron before people walk up for demos at big audio events !!! SSA is great social media for things like this !!! This is what needs to happen to make car audio a better sport !!!

Sean ... Please man, lay off my setup. I have alot more things I need to worry about. I know you don't like Blues Car Audio, and I'm cool with that ... But its beating a dead horse. I'M NOT CHANGING ANYTHING WITH MY CAR AUDIO SYSTEM .. And yes, Meeting up with you would do us alot of good I think ... Just saying

If I could buy all the "Raw Drivers" I would need for my car for about 50 bucks ... I would not have the money to spare ... You have to understand that I'm doing all that I can with what I already have to work with ... So please ... there is no more need to ask me to buy different drivers to go into this car ... Especially when you will never make a trip out to one of these big Audio events to meet up with me, have a drink with me, and listen to it personally ... Now as far as driver location, position, angles, things like that ... I'm all ears !!! And If I sell equipment now ... Chances are I will spend the money elsewhere and not have any equipment ... That would be real bad considering I would be losing a sponsorship too ... No thank you, not an option ...

well here is my problem ... Insurance totaled my truck after the hail storm, I'm getting it painted, but I can not insure the truck for anything but liability. So I have no insurance on contents and will be pulling everything out soon since the truck is no good to me any more and the truck will be sold soon (I hope) ... So with all this work I'm doing to the car, buying the wife a new car cause hers got totaled too, AND find me another truck to pull this Ford ... I have no money to buy stereo equipment. So I have to work with what I've got. Did I also mention that i'm paying for one kid to go to college and one will be there in 2 years ?? I wish I had your kind to money so I could just buy whatever I wanted ...

I have all the time in the world to get this thing to work like I want it ... What's the difference, you've never taken it easy on me before ... Why start now ??I actually do take it easy on you. You always take conversations personally and emotionally which makes it hard to have a productive conversation so I greatly limit my criticism. Figured if I posted in here you'd not see it as pooping on your thread but trying to help. Of course, what you see as me not being easy on you in other comments is also me trying to help. its cool man ... and thank you !!! well here is my problem ... Dude ... Have you seen any pics I've posted in this log ?? This car is a monster lead sled ... I have more than enough room to install anything I want ... I could pull a Mark Eldridge and install 12s in the kicks If I want ...possibilities are endless when you completely gut a car as large as this one and start from scratch ...

Its cool bro ... When the time gets here (with my luck and budget ... might be a while), we will do what is best for the car ... hell, I've got to get the seats correctly mounted and mocked up so we can measure something. I just got the seat frame welded together yesterday. And the passive crossovers I'm running are FAR FROM "Off the shelf passive crossvers" ... I know you don't like them ... but is cool, life would suck if I didn't get to piss off atleast one person a day ... LOL

Cablguy184's 1949 Ford Tudor Sedan
I'm not ... Well, I am running passive with the tweeter / midrange drivers simply because they are the EXACT same measuremants to the listner's ears so there is no reason to time align them separately ... And since the midbass / subbass drivers in the kickpannels will be at different maesurement positions, they will be time aligned separately ... So yes, for the most part, I will be running an active system, just one section will be passive ...Just so we are clear here ... if for some reason that I have to go completely active and I need to be completely convinced that passive just will not work ... You already know that I have the necessary equipment to go fully active if need be ... But in all actuallity, I do not see this a problem when we get to this part of the build ...

Cablguy184's 1949 Ford Tudor Sedan
on a home audio system let's say a 2 way setup where you have the tweeter and the midrange drivers in the exact same enclosures (as in a left and right cabinet) ... Would you time align the tweetes and midrange drivers separately ??? I have all the time in the world to get this thing set up the way I want ... thats the beauty of building a street machine yourself !!!
