  1. I'm competing in MECA Street SQ class this year. If I am reading the 2019 rules correctly, processors are allowed in all SQ classes. Not Sure, guess it's because of factory integration. To answer your question, No, I'm not upgrading to a processor. I'm just adding a pair of old school crossovers to allow me 4 channels on my 2 way setup. Basically bumping up from 150w per channel on 2 channels passive to 150w on 4 channels active. What should have taken me a few hours took me all weekend to wire all of this up. Everything works according to plan, but my doors being stock is not working. At all. They need to be treated ASAP !!! Only down fall to this for me is I will have no sub bass until my amplifier gets here. Is what it is I guess.
  2. Well Sean, guess you win. With a little luck, Avalanche will be going full active on the 2way front stage this weekend. Getting ready for MECA.
  3. I’m having this same problem with my Son’s 17 Chevy Cruze. Hope someone can help us.
  4. I’m all about keeping things simple and sounding good !!! Keep us posted brother.
  5. Might try Ray at TIPS.
  6. Thank you Sir. I have got to find time to get back into my doors. They need to be braced and sealed ASAP. I have to say that I am really impressed with the performance of this Brutal Sounds driver. It’s not a true “Get down and dirty” SPL or Sound Quality driiver, but with that very dynamic amplifier’s help, a general all around very solid performing driver !!! Hard accurate hitting bass !!! Oh dang, I’m rambling again ... these Tequila Sunrisers working on me here at the Casino ... LOL
  7. Thank you Sir. My low beams work so well that I never really need high beams for daily driving So I figured why not grab the HIDs out of the 97 Chevy's lenses and use them since I have them. I was surprised to see that they were an exact swap out. I have some 15w White HIDS that I plan to put into the Back up lenses. They make great back up lights without modifications. Just have to find time.
  8. Got a little free time in between calls and thought I'd add a little green to my truck ... Oh yea, let a sum bitch throw their brights on me now !!! Hyper Lights 35w 8000k Green High Beams baby !!!
  9. I would series up a 8 volt with a 6 volt before I’d run a 14 volt battery. Just Saying
  10. Nice Most people that go with anything larger than 13.6 charging normally adds a second alternator specifically for the amplifier battery bank. If you go this route, you may as well run a 16 volt system. good luck Sir.
  11. Normal vehicle charging is 13.6 volts. Resting is 12.8 volts.
  12. Since you’re on the SSA site, don’t think you can go wrong with the SSA 2 way components, 4 channel, SSA sub and mono block. Just Saying
  13. A dash pod should give you enough air space to work with. May get some impressive stage width and depth out of it. Are you planning to add a tweeter with this ??
  14. OMG, I know EXACTLY what you mean here !!!
  15. Small Update. Finished my A-Pillars !!! Got a little work to get back on them later. But for now, I LOVE the way the perform !!! After the holidays, hoping to get back to the doors !!! Thinking metal braces !!!
  16. WOW !!! Nice Update !!!
