  1. haha! thanks guys! yes the MDF is in the garage. i cant believe the rain we are getting right now. just insane!! i got some materials today including... loctite caulking, liquid nails silicone, and 1 5/8 screws. i didnt bother with buying new clamps. so im going to just add glue and screw them down. hope that should work. dont see why it wouldnt.
  2. Thanks a lot guys!! i know it may need more wood, but for the time being i got one. i was going to start today, but its raining a huge storm... so that puts a pause on that...WO! guess ill still go get some materials today though
  3. this is kind of a silly question, but im in need of a little help. im starting my box tomorrow for my FI BL 15" and curious what kind of screws and glue i will need... OR any other materials i should get together. the box should be just under a 4 cu ft. i picked up a huge sheet of MDF today. just felt like asking you guys what you would recommend before i buy. THANKS!!
  4. interesting.. well thanks for the tip ram! ill take your word for it. and thanks for all your help guys! looks like ill order up 3 - 4" aeroports this week!
  5. yea i said 3- 4" ports above... you say to use four ports instead?
  6. i have not heard either myself, but my Fi Bl 10" sounded GREAT in a 1 cuft box!! its actually for sale if interested
  7. hey ram! instead of buying from precision can i just use some pvc from home depot instead? it looks like 3- 4" ports is the winner. it would work well by putting the ports above the sub in the front of the box
  8. well im guessing for a bl 15... 33 to 36 hertz is what i would like? since i want to be in that general area it still leaves me with either getting 2 6" ports or 3 4" ports i suppose. i guess i shall wait til my box is made and see what works. thanks for your help guys!
  9. hmm. well my dimensions are: 21" tall 18" wide 19" long top 32" long bottom ...so thats what i have to work with. i would like for the ports not to be facing up... maybe i can squeeze (3) 4" ports in the front of the box? i just cant find ports that size for sale. unless i make my own.. or i can just use a single 6" and put that on the side of the box?
  10. im starting my new box build soon and curious what size aero port to use. the box will be 4 cu ft. should i use 1 6" port or 2 4" ports i used psp-inc.com and both would fit with the size of my box. just curious what u guys would use!? Thanks!!
  11. thanks!! its for sale! haha. stepping up to a bl 15
  12. well i have not updated this build thread for awhile now. ive had everything done for maybe a little more then a month. the bl 10 sounds great! However... there is a 60/ 40 rear bench seat that looks tempting to put a box in place of the 40 section seat.. here is a picture with the room i have with the chair all the way reclined. and here are some really rough sketch numbers of what i have to work with.. the dimensions are: 21" tall 18" wide 19" long top 32" long bottom so im probably going to look into this!! i would run the same set up just switch subs. i have the sundown 1200d v.2 amp now and probably would get a FI BL 15". it looks like i can get just about 4 cu ft where i would put the sub if i used aeroports. just dont know what size. maybe 1 6" or 2 4" ports? lemme know what u think!! thanks!
  13. looking good so far!! def tuned in!
  14. nice cummins with the walkers in the background!
  15. going to sound great!! nice work!
  16. this is so RIDICULOUS!! cali would eat this bill right up! signed and submitted!
  17. looks great!!
  18. def tuned in!! nice equipment!!
  19. for my first box i think it turned out pretty good! i was concerned with the very strange angles of the box and what no, but sounds very clean!! OH! i added some FKA 116 MB Quart (6.5) speakers for the rear. (you can see in the back of the picture) i didnt want to spend a lot for the rears, but they sound great! cool little speakers. def beats stock! haha
  20. so i had to go with a 2" flared port kit from precision. i was kinda worried about if the sub still wouldn't get enough air. damn was i wrong. this little 10 POUNDS. very happy with everything. i still need to tune and tweek a bit more power outta the amp. cant believe the sub should get a lil louder! Rxdriver11 has offered to help me with his o scope as well. so im very happy about that and thank him again!! ill go take some pics now of how everything looks! still need to put all my interior and seats back in!
  21. Thanks RXdriver11!! Im in the Southern California LA area. this build would be going a lot quicker if my port would hurry up in the mail! haha

  23. i would love to use a slot port design, but its a very strange looking box thats placed behind the center console in my quad cab truck. aero ports are the way to go for this box. theres a pic in my build log. for some strange reason i ordered a 3" port and i just got a 2" port delivered to my house... great... more time to wait since i get to send it back and pay shipping too!!
