Welcome to the IHoP
I'm glad you at least post your ideas....terrible as I think they are. Amusing. What didn't you like about the way I make hot chocolate. 3 pints of heavy cream is close to 4500. If you can't find real heavy it may be 5 pints. Still yummy versus wtf. If nothing else I provide entertainment which is almost always good. I didn't dislike anything about your idea, I actually completely overlooked trying it LOL. Though I figure if I have an issue with that much butter then I'll likely have an equal issue with heavy cream. As to yummy vs wtf, well it doesn't taste bad, but it's not super good either. Either way I'm just looking for extra kcal on top of my regular food. I'm going to try my ramp up method (which if it works I'll be sure to trademark the idea, and start an epic fat ass diet pronto), and if it fails than I will try heavy cream. I keep reading about people in arctic eating loads of butter, so if those pussies can do it...

First sub install, must have done something wrong.
If the driver isn't moving much than I would rule out the SSF being an issue. Next I would try lowering the LPF. After that double check wiring. After that, with the sub playing, you could gradually apply some pressure to the cone with your fingers, and see if the sound goes away. If so then something may be amiss on the driver.

Damn straight. I don't own anything here, but there is one half of this place that is all about $$$$ and it's bringing it down. I hear you, but at the same time I understand that server costs for the forum aren't cheap either, and everyone needs $$$.

Shit sorta sucks since I feel like I'm short changing myself. On average for a beginner they can typically put on up to ~2lbs of muscle per month naturally. Then you figure in the excess kcal goes to some fat. So putting on 5lbs or less per month could be considered gains. Me on the other hand, have not put on any significant weight (3lbs+) for the last few months which means I'm simply not eating enough. I just wanna get big son.

Oh and I'd thought I let you know Sean that all that butter didn't sit well. I drank 0.5 stick, felt fine. Few hours later another 0.5 stick, felt fine. Few hours later another 0.5 stick. Hour or two go by then I felt queezy. Took a two hour nap, woke up, and puked everything up. Literally went from 4500kcal to like 1000kcal rofl. So for the next week I'm going to eat a 1/4 stick, and slowly ramp it up to 1 stick, and I'm going to spread it throughout the entire day to hopefully give my digestive system a break per-say. Clearly this is a ridiculous idea all together, and I should just eat more real food (which I would if I could, but mentally I can't), so I'm compromising.

Jesus christ Ryan. First thing you say is how to turn this shit off.

From here I would double check the wiring on the speaker terminals to the amp--otherwise I'm not sure what else to try.

Seems I wasn't clear explaining it. The gain setting will be in voltage, in your case: 5v - 0.15v The SSF setting will be in hertz (hz), and it'll likely start around 10-20hz.

First sub install, must have done something wrong.
It can go from 5 down to 0.15 Doesn't matter what direction it goes on the knob. You still haven't answered my original question as to where the SSF is set to. The rattle could be from over-excursion caused by improper SSF setting. It could also be a wood panel on the enclosure rattling. You could also try lowering the LPF a bit. You can also check your head-unit settings and make sure those are flat, and aren't providing any boost anywhere.

The gain will be in voltage. The SSF will be in hertz (hz). SSF is the subsonic filter, same as a high pass filter. IE: set to 30hz, attenuates frequencies below 30hz.

Sorry but that doesn't help. Does the amp have silk-screen printing saying 20hz, 30hz, 40hz, 50hz, etc? Approx where would you say the SSF and LPF are set, in hz?

In case anyone needs either: I'm going to be listing some S4 10" dcons for sale, as well as a hertz ep1d amp.

Where do you have the LPF and SSF set on the amp?

With the bicep curls one can simply place their elbow against their stomach correct? Gets rid of additional shoulder "help" and can't swing the weight behind you for momentum. That's about the only weight I pick up now, and occasional DL. Sure you can still swing it. You just keep yourself honest man. It's like pull ups. Technically if you complete a pull up, then you complete it, but you know that you can yank it up and cheat. Same thang mang. I still have a very hard time doing pull-ups Chin-ups are ok, I can muster 2 on my own and 2 more with a bit of help. Does your gym have a pull-up machine? Not sure the proper term, but basically you rest your knees on it, and you can change the assisting weight amount.

I'll have to read his stuff sometime, for the last few years I've only read textbooks and whitepapers for leisure haha.

Was just thinking of a good way to explain it properly to someone when you aren't face to face to point out any absurdities. Have you seen the trailer for "Pain and Gain" with Mark Wahlberg and and Dwayne Johnson? Looks like a pretty good bro movie, but I was dissapointed in the trailer when The Rock was doing partial pullups.

Read any Arthur C. Clark? He writes some great sci-fi, but he was an amazing scientist. I have not. I was reading some papers by Sarah Horst as she studied Titan's atmosphere exclusively.

Crossfit is the epitome of "short cuts" and big ego. I know there are crossfit centers that are legit, but they aren't very common.

Another reason why I'm glad I can do everything at home--not deal with other people.

Crossfit never ceases to amaze me. http://www.cftally.com/blog/tag/front-lever Only the center picture is okay, but it's still not even correct. Fuck the proper progressions, so let's just compromise form, or cheat. Too weak to do a muscle-up, let's kip. Too weak or "elite" to do a full chin/pullup, so we'll do partial rom, or even swing. Our swinging pullups look so fucking ridiculous let's give them a fancy name (butterfly pullups) so people presume they have a purpose. Having a fucking seizure on the bar bro?
