^ I didn't know what size dowel should be used, but switching to something larger isn't going to change the net volume enough to matter Sencheezy. I was actually going to mention it last night, but forgot.

Sleepy time. Got a big day tomorrow. Sleep in to 8:00, eat breakfast, finish some fiberglass, eat some more, take a nap, and maybe see a movie.

Depending on the frequency and amplitude, the heat transfer can also shift from natural convection to forced convection. Correctomundo?

I'm sure advanced physics will be difficult, but the intro / basic shouldn't be bad. I still haven't decided the what the hell I'm majoring in, just finishing the rest of gen eds, taking more math, and starting physics science stuff. Since I know I want to do something in the science / engineering realm, I figure I can't get enough math. The standing waves can effect volume by causing a change in pressure and temperature? Pressure from anti-nodes, and temperature change from friction?

That's what I'm thinking. Generally they already do a quick review when the class starts out as well.

After working with fiberglass everyday, I like to think of myself as him. Oh and wtf:

I had one long drawn out post the other day, submitted, and it disappeared. Only happened once, but it made me rip my shirt off, turn green, and throw automobiles around.

I think the ms8 has 6db, haven't tried it yet, just another combination to throw into the mix. When I vent my kicks, I described the change in sound as airy, and adding the tweets seem to add a "sparkle" more so. Like that? "sparkle" Just imagine what that sounds like. Only thing I can think of to explain it is imagine shaking a tambourine. Very detailed, crisp, but not hash. Adds more liveliness to the sound.

Board update has really tweaked some stuff up. I'm planning on taking Physics next semester, but the prerequisite is physics from HS, which I never took. Perhaps I can fudge it by reading a few books over the next few months.

If my tweeters could talk: "C'mon, throw shit at me, I don't give a fuck." I'm sure they are overkill since I was originally using them in a 2way crossed down to 1900hz, but now I have tons of headroom. IIRC, I have them crossed at 7500hz and 12db. L4s have no issues playing that high, and way higher, but the tweets add a little "airiness" and "bright" sound to the top. Plus they also raised the stage height from being mounted on the a-pillars. If I raise the xo point between the L4s and tweets, the stage height will lower, but not by a lot, and like stated before, the shallow slope really blends them together quite nicely.

Don't assume you should use the same slope on the HP and LP between the anarchies and L4's. Regularly mixed slopes can win. Yep, just haven't tried raising the xo point yet. When I bumped the L4 up from 400hz to 550hz, it seemed to improve the midbass, throwing more of midbass frequencies in the direction of ex-anarchies and not L4s. I still want to try a shallower slope and see how that sounds, but I'm definitely using a steep fucker between the sub and ex-anarchy. Gotta keep it from jumping outta the door.

I'll certainly tune all over again, listen for a few weeks, drop the L4s back in, tune, and listen for a few more days.

Need some factory head unit help...
Tap into the "white/red" wire on the back of the factory unit, it's the switched 12v+ for the unit. http://www.modifiedlife.com/2000-honda-accord-car-stereo-wiring-diagram/ Wiring Diagram.

what replacement 6.5s would work?
- DC XL 12 Enclosure
The transmission line would have to be approx 9.5ft long in order to play down to 30hz. The line would have to be folded, which also creates resonance issues. Polyfill can help break up the nodes. The area of the transmission line should be more then the Sd of the driver. If you did a tapered line, the efficiency will likely decrease. If I were you, I would use a ported enclosure.- Welcome to the IHoP
I like them, but I want to compare them against some $30 drivers, and see if their mighty price tag is really worth it.- Welcome to the IHoP
I have a steep slope between the sub and ex-anarchies, at 80hz, and still I get them extending too far at times. When I raised the subwoofer level (not bass level) on the ms8, it still increased the amplitude going to the ex-anarchies. So I did a little eq, raised the gain on the sub amp, and lowered the subwoofer level on the ms8. Seems to work better now. Then I have a 18db slope between the ex-anarchies and L4. Once I get the tweets back in I'll have to try some more combos.- Happy Birthday Duran

Is this with the sundown amp? I've heard people having noise issues with some of their amps, may have been the older ones though. Does the sound get louder when you turn up the volume? You could try plugging an ipod directly into the amp, if it goes away then it's probably something with the headunit. If it stays, it might be the amp or grounding.- what replacement 6.5s would work?
