The graph is the excursion of a driver with 1watt, in an enclosure tuned to 30hz. Between the tuning frequency 30hz and up, the highest excursion it reaches is 250um. Below 30hz, below the port tuning, the excursion dramatically increases. Reaching upwards of 1mm. Highest excursion between the acceptable range (30hz to say 80hz): 250um. Highest excursion below the port tuning (30hz): 1mm That's four times as much excursion. The driver is moving FOUR times as much below tuning. Now imagine powering that driver with 500watts instead of 1watt, it won't last long.

We've had four jeeps in the last fifteen years. Did a tranny service every year along with other maintenance, never had anything go out, except for a water pump at 150k, and the last JK model had some recall that was swapped out. Had a dodge diesel, an injector went out, but the previous owner had a chip that increased the rail pressure. Also had ecu issues, turned into a money pit, whether it was caused by the shitty chip the previous owner used I don't know, but we sold it any way.

I happened to make a post about playing material below the tuning enclosure a few weeks ago. Here's a visual of the driver's excursion VS frequency. Enclosure tuning: 30hz As you can see, frequencies below tuning cause extreme excursion. Leading to what Nick stated, and has been stating for years.
