  1. Unless your competing seriously don't bother with 16v. Just my opinion, wont gain enough power difference for it to be audible, don't want to mess with stepdowns, or one alt for stock electrical and other for stereo amps...
  2. If I didn't have to put a decal on my front windshield id be interested... Been to all the meca events in tucson and Phx, can do legal 147s, once dc power is done with the alt ill break 150. Hmmm. I've met ken before? Im nice. Perhaps ill post a video later.
  3. That's awesome. Everything came out super clean, this build is proof that you don't need to spend thousands and thousands to have a nice stereo in your car.
  4. If you don't make a hole at the end of the crack, it'll likely continue to spread... At least in my experience. Not sure about fixing the rest cosmetically, sheet metal is extremely thin and not sure how difficult welding and sanding down would be, possibly filling with the epoxy, sanding, and repainting area.
  5. HA. i have alot more to lose now. not a chance (forgot i put that video on here) I hear ya.
  6. Try not to have another police chase
  7. Drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it from spreading.
  8. 22bucks x 10, budget of around 220. Why not get some 15" dcons How many of the daytons would you get?
  9. the hifonics...
  10. Btls. More cone area.
  11. I want it so hard!!!! Using more power for more output is the least efficient way to go about it.
  12. If you can fit 4 12s, you could probably fit 2 15" dcons
  13. I think the real question is, how much does it accelerate the bass? Rofl
  14. Use them for their speakers, for the model drivers their designed for, not for your alpines, kickers, focals, etc
  15. Buy all three amps and send them in to: http://www.audiograph.se/
  16. You honesty think your average joe blow can accurately compare amplifier power ratings? Using a dmm and a clamp doesn't mean much, and most aren't going to have a bench power supply and so forth.
  17. So true!
  18. Glad I could help!
  19. I like that you didn't have to do any modifying to make anything work, at least no fiberglassing or adapters, just swap out speakers in factory location. I'm starting to think I should have used factory locations and not tried fitting bigger speakers in... Always wanted to hear some CDTs. Lucky kid
  20. Focal 690 ca1s sound great for coaxial speakers, and they have a good amount of midbass for what they are. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6270_Focal-690-CA1.html
  21. If you visit dcpowerinc.com and select the alternator your interested in, you can click the "performance" tab and it'll show the voltage set point. <--This number will vary slightly depending on temperature (at least in my experience). There is nothing wrong with using 15.5v on standard 12v battery and 14v charging setup. For what it's worth, my xp was in a jeep wrangler, had a optima (red or bluetop, can't remember) in the front, no secondary battery, running a single saz1500d, full tilt at idle my voltage was in the higher 14s.
  22. I think I found the solution to your dilemma, dun dun dun. If your a student, you may qualify for free two day shipping. Customers also bought, this I think in the end, this will help you get help.
