  1. yup i think i am feeling better about it, i just ordered it, i just hope that im not one of the customers that seems to wait a month or so to get my alt and when i do get it, i hope to god that it fits lol I certainly see some people get theirs in a few days, while others takes weeks or even months. I know when I ordered mine, it took about a month, but it wasn't that bad considering it's a custom built product. I ran a saz1500d with no additional batteries, my voltage would just float around in the 14s like no big deal
  2. Then it sounds like your covered
  3. yeah i know they make an amazing alt, and its really my only option for my truck, but the website is kind of making me doubt wether or not im buying the alt that fits my truck or not I would definitely get a hold of them before ordering. Or order over the phone. Although it may take a couple tries to get someone on the line
  4. It's a lot to keep track of on the site, and they are a super super busy company. Sometimes hard to get a hold of. But their product IS worth it. I promise you that.
  5. wow thats weird, im glad you said something cause if you look at this page https://www.dcpowerinc.com/alternators/xp-series.html which is the page right before the actual item, it lists the alt for 629.00 I see what you mean, that is weird. One price on the listing, another on the actual product page. I'd also double check that they are the same alt types for the same vehicle. Just because it says dodge and or jeep doesn't mean they are all the same (although they vary well could be) I know for 50 bucks I'd get the slightly bigger one.
  6. Price difference between the two listed alts is $50.
  7. I'm digging all the new stuff
  8. F that, you ain't getting my picture
  9. These work? You want any pictures of drivers being installed or in enclosures (like showing members rides and stuff) or is this professional like backdrop behind the product, etc.
  10. Great idea
  11. Well I just plugged in google maps, from tucson to ft huachuca. So more or less. And actually I'm moving out to our new house in vail pretty soon, so that's right off the freeway
  12. So for those that don't know, CrazyKenKid lent me his hyperdynamics meter (make it louder) so I could do some testing (I hope this doesn't get everyone and their neighbor PMing him though... Getting it here was a pain, USPS lost track of it, said it was at one office then another, then on route, then no idea. Finally got it though!) I've read that these meters are fairly accurate to a TL, how accurate? Not sure, guessing within a db or two (at least in the range I'm playing around in). So take it for whatever it's worth... Mounted mic on left side of windshield, vehicle sealed up. 36hz 147.75db Didn't write down the other sealed up results because my voltage was dropping after each run, so the scores couldn't be consistent. Mounted mic on left side of windshield, passenger window down. 36hz 148.76db 38hz 149.66db Voltage drop was pretty bad, low 12s, and high 11s for a few seconds. Going to charge the batteries and do a couple more runs tomorrow, perhaps I can get it a tad higher.
  13. Your about an hour and half away from me. I could probably drive out and help for a few days

That they helped stiffen the electrical supply for when the batteries couldn't keep up for a split second, the cap could kick in. I don't believe they hold enough power to actually help though, and they constantly discharge and create more amperage draw on the electrical supply.

Okay that makes sense now, that the electrical is high enough for the amp to function. But I still wouldn't run anything consistently under 11v.
