  1. Not enough room up there lol. When I get in and out, my head bumps the garage door opener on the sun visor sometimes I'll finish this up, see how it sounds and looks. May end up just wrapping the whole entire door, probably be easier and look better, just a shit load more sanding
  2. I'd talk to DC Power first. I had a 230xp series alt from them, ran a saz1500d, voltage drop was minimal, didn't use it any extra batteries either
  3. It's not that late right now...
  4. Will do! Hopefully I'll have them installed this weekend. I'm having trouble finding a good spot to mount my tweeters, so I'm doing a small pod on the door, right above the midbass pod. Not really sure if it's going to look stupid or somewhat decent when I'm done, but either way I'll finish it up and try again later
  5. Man thats a lot of flex, It better be getting louder...to your ears
  6. Yeah I was wondering if it was just me or the player was skipping lol. Deadener will be nice

Road was out in the middle of no where, no other cars. Needs stiffer springs tho, and bilstein shocks

It's been super windy here lately, between it, roller coaster bumpy road, and excessive speeding, hard to stay on the road AND ground
  10. Sweet videos! When I read "if you have any song requests...", first one that came to thought was put on. Then the next videos were all put on Talk about bass in your face!
  11. That's the plan I was originally going to get those hi-vis from madisound, but saw the vibes, looked cool, figured its a comp set, gotta be better then my coaxials, impulse buy Some more pictures, just boring stuff Haven't cleaned up wiring or anything yet, just temp until I finish up the sub area and figure out where everything is going. I think I'll make a cover behind the battery, and mount the amp on the side. Gotta love how small it is
  12. 4 ohms: 90 watts x 2 chan. 2 ohms: 125 watts x 2 chan. Bridged, 4 ohms: 250 watts x 1 chan. Dimensions: 5-1/4"D x 8-1/4"W x 2"H Just finished installing it, current hertz coaxials sound cleaner and a lot louder, too bad their only 5 1/4s with next to zero midbass.
  13. Time to run rcas, speaker wire, and amp!
  14. Package came early. I got the vibe stuff in. Pics soon
  15. I don't have anything to take pictures of yet! At 5pm today ill have the vibe amp and comps. Then I can start working on the doors, then plenty of pictures!
  16. I only have 2 in front, no need for four channel haha
  17. They had a short run made for testing and what not. Now their officially in production. You can safely guess what enclosure volume to use when going for ground pounder / spl. Id go off xcon specs but use as much volume as possible. For example, the pair of 15" xcons I have, recommended is ~8cubes, but if I had more room id go with greater efficiency and try and shoot for 10cubes or so. Sq may lack some, but its for loudness...

Sweet stuff coming on. Mb quart looks nice. Spoken like a true man, gotta show it off
  19. Voltage dropping to 12.5v isnt good imo. With a 225a alt and 2500wrms amp on music (doubtful you even come close to that rms rating), you shouldnt really have considerable voltage drop. You went from a RF amp to Sundown. Sundown amps are no joke. You may want to consider upgrading or reworking your electrical wiring if needed. You might even need to look into XS Power battery up front and another XS Power battery near the amp. I have a feeling you are starving your Sundown amp. Maybe your enclosure foe the sub is less than optimal. Good luck Agreed, but I'd still think even if he went easy on the sundown for this test, he could give the new driver as much if not more power then the RF, and it should be louder. I'd do what Nick suggested first tho.
  20. I'm getting it changed this week One less thing to deal with. As for the enclosure, we had some problems fitting the ports in the original design, so were doing a new box. It should be awesome when it's done The more glassing I do, the less sanding I find myself having to do. Perhaps I'm slowly getting better at it. I'm also in the process of moving, so I have the majority of my tools at the new house, so going back and forth in limbo land I bought a cool looking amp for my mids and highs, vibe litebox 2 channel. Nothing fancy, but should be a lot better then hu power. Also got a cheap pair of vibe 6.5s just so I can finish up the door pods. Hopefully next week I'll have a pod done and some new pictures
  21. You went from what amp to what? Voltage is good?
