  1. Windows 8/8.1 has mouse issues in some games. They released a hotfix but it isn't completely fixed across all games from what I've gathered, so look into that depending on what games you play. Other then that there isn't any advantage or disadvantage to using win 8 vs 7 for gaming, both support the same architecture.
  2. You'd have to get the Pro model, its the only one made for that. I've got an RT version and I love it but I don't need/want to write notes on it with a pen. Definitive answers ftw! Thanks. Sucks the batteries aren't replaceable from what I've read, makes me a little leery about buying a used model.
  3. I'm not really a fan of Win 8 either, but having office and their One Note app would be pretty sweet. IIRC Sean liked Win 8, maybe I just need more time with it. :shrugs:
  4. Anyone ever use the Microsoft Surface tablets? I'm thinking about getting one for taking notes specifically with a pen. Looks like the pro models offer a surface pen that isn't capacitive based so the detail is a lot better, and lets you rest your hand on the tablet when writing?
  5. WINE has come a long way. I installed a bunch of programs recently and all work flawlessly.
  6. True ... Geez this is soo true !!! I see this all the time.....some people will rather skimp on components and save $500 but then they turn around and spend that saved $500 on processing to end up with a final result that is lacking LOL. Using active filters and processing allows one to use drivers that excel in a specific installation and adjust/compensate for environmental effects. You can literally tailor the entire setup for the best sound in a given installation. I don't consider that skimping. Though I admit they require a lot more time to setup. I have nothing against component sets either, but the ones I've heard with exorbitant price tags weren't inherently better then the well planned active setups I've heard.
  7. He just said they don't dim, the interior lights dim.
  8. Yes light dimming is common in car audio. Lights dim due to a sudden change in voltage. Whether that change is from 15.015v to 14.12v, or 14.5v to 11.84v. So the dimming alone doesn't necessarily mean you need more power. Check your voltage at idle and with the system at full tilt. If it's your headlights dimming you could switch to an HID system with a ballast, I don't believe voltage fluctuation will affect them. If it's your interior lights then I'm not sure what would be a good way to alleviate it. Moving a battery to the rear near the amp might help, but I'm not entirely sure.
  9. Light never came on, but it was low. I think parking at a slant got the gas away from the pump? I hope.
  10. Ran my car out of gas, it's only the first day of class hahahaha.

  12. Ouch. I'm stocked with imitrex and relpax for my next one.
  13. Your question doesn't make sense. If a voice coil is wired into a circuit then it's part of the circuit--there isn't any alternate route. Or am I misreading your question?
  14. Depending on how often you write documents, you may end up sick of a tablet. I bought a used Asus netbook off Craigslist for $220 and it does everything you describe. Also, do you need to be able to print from it?
  15. Sled looks like a sled! Riding soon?
  16. That reminds me of the half shaft I broke on the Volvo, luckily they could fish out the broken end. Now I know my car isn't a sports car, that and I'm probably an idiot.
  17. Okay I guessed right, what do I win?
  18. Yesterday I was looking for housing, came across these gems:http://tucson.craigslist.org/roo/4291835721.html http://tucson.craigslist.org/roo/4291686478.html http://tucson.craigslist.org/roo/4288703276.html Fuck. I need to bleach my Fucking eyes. "hi! Here's my cock, I'm a nudist by the way!"
  19. Sweet deal.
