Everyone's Favorite: Dimming Headlights!
It would certainly help, but may not fix his problem If there's not enough current being supplied. I suggest he gets a dmm or lcd voltmeter so you actually know how much his voltage drop is at full tilt

What belt are you running with your HO alt?
I didn't have to, but it's recommended generally... Just checking, I replaced mine about a 1000miles ago...

The history of DC Power Engineering.
Story time, my stock alt sucks so I send an email to DC power for some price quotes, they come back with what exactly I need but it's a little pricey. About three months go by and I'm searching every h/o alt thread on every car audio forum known to man. I find a couple other companies that make some alts and are considerably cheaper, but every single company had mixed reviews EXCEPT DC Power. A lot of people had issues with low voltage at idle, less output then rated, or their alt just completely failing... But every single post about DC Power was positive. "If your going to do something, you should do it right the first time" So I ordered a DC alt, and I know I made the right choice! Oh and did I mention their customer service is awesome P.S if you search on youtube for "dc power alt vs", you'll find a few comparison videos between dc alts and competitors, and dc alt wins everytime.

Twisted's 3rd Row Wall Build
sweating reminding of me yesterday, sitting in my jeep holding amp up with one hand trying to screw it down with the other, all the while sweating all over everything in 100 degrees. Its pounding for only a couple hundred watts

Stefan Hinote- Need some graphics work done
I really wanna see what you come up with when your done.- Alternator looks to a whole new level! Billet Aluminum CNC housing
I'm digging the black- 1100F heat gun vs 270XP for 20~ minutes. Will it break?
yay fun stuff for me to read/watch while waiting on mine- SKAR Audio VVX-12 12" 600 Watt RMS Subwoofer Release!
It was "bring your parent to work week" in China, so they didn't get much done last week. ROFL, I don't think I've read something that funny yet horrible in quite some time!- Pro's and Con's
Zero pros, and plenty of cons. Unless your getting a massive cap like a Batcap extreme or something for SPL, then their junk. They can't supply enough current to keep up with your amp draw... as they constantly discharge they draw more current from your alt/battery just making things worse.- Zebra Hair Trick?!?

ROFL, I love this man, brings so much to the videos- Free Enclosure Designs
Definitely looks better then some of the first ones. Paint the port so you don't see bare mdf, and cut the carpet where it meets the port entrance. Just my two cents- Free Enclosure Designs
No I just get the dimensions that the person wants to work with and then give them a cutout sheet list, what type of music they listen to, what type of enclosure they want, how much power they'll be running, how many subs they'll have, if they will be involved in any SPL competitions, and what type of sub they have. Then once I can get all of that information I can build or design a box that will meet their needs. Just curious, how do you base the enclosure design off power? less volume for more power and vice versa for less power? The larger an enclosure is the less power handling you have but you have greater efficiency, the smaller a box is the more power handling you have but less efficiency. Yeah I know the concept just wasn't sure how you figure out volume to power handling. like driver xxx rms is 1000watts and opt enclosure is 4cubes. but you only have 500watts to work with, so do you do 5cubes? 6cubes? - 1100F heat gun vs 270XP for 20~ minutes.
