HP 6930...something better than the deal I found?????
You could also use openbox or vmware to run a virtualization of windows XP 32 bit on your current computers.

That would mean saving that as a "program" called back up that I could simply run by typing ./backup in terminal or making a "shortcut" in Ubuntu? Yep. Just replace the source and destination with your harddrives' paths. I'm not 100% sure if it's the same in Ubuntu as Debian, but you can try "cd /media; ls" and see if that gives you a listing of the names of your harddrives. IE: /media/hdd2 and /media/hdd3

Then you could save that as "backup" or what ever you want to call it, chmod +x the file, and run it from the terminal like ./backup, or make a new item on the gnome panel for running it.

If you just want to backup one directory (which could just be the entire partition if you did "/") then you could do: sudo rsync -azvv /home/importantshit /media/hdd2This would only backup files that have been changed.Oh and you can use rsync to backup files to a remote host via ssh.

This is an overview of the most common options: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BackupYourSystem Scroll down to "backup utilities." So hdd1 will be in the computer with the linux partitions, and you want to be able to plug hdd2 into a dock and have it automatically backup hdd1? Do you want all the partitions copied so if hdd1 died you could simply plug in hdd2 and be on your way? Or do you want hdd2 just for backing up important files, like your porn collection?

2010 Escalade Base AWD. I'm dying for anything. I've searched like hell, but as always there is stuff on older models and nothing on new. Not a surprise.I would also assume it is a bus as the Lux in the last gen was and moving "backwards" they probably wouldn't do. The amp has a Delco part number from what I can find so far. Having a wiring diagram may just give me the motivation to do something. Wishing I hadn't sold my 880 as it would be easy enough to use a Joyconn to read the steering wheel and use that volume control exclusively saving the knob for the rears only. It really does sound fucking awful. I'll need the RPO numbers from the build sheet. You typically find the build sheet inside or on the back of the glove box, or on the cover over the spare tire or rear package area cover. It will be roughly a 3X5 sticker with a shit ton of 3 digit codes. The RPO numbers I will need to know about are UQS, Y91, and UQA. You will find either one or a combination of 2 of these RPOs. Apparently there were 4 system set up options on the Base AWD Esky. FWIW I glanced at some of the diagrams and based on internal terminating resistors I am going to say most of the controls are BUS based. Has Y91, UQS but no UQA Bumping this so I can look when I get home tonight for you. Trying to figure out a way to send the diagrams to you. There are 4 fucking pages and I cannot get reasonable screenshots... If you have firefox you can install the addon "screengrab." It lets you take entire screenshots of a page (including what you would see if you scrolled). I use FF for everything, except Mitchel. I have to use IE for it. Any suggestions for that? I don't know of any addons for IE. Sort of a pain in the ass, but you can change the user-agent string on Firefox so websites will think you're using IE. Here's an article on how to do it: http://www.lostsaloon.com/technology/how-to-change-user-agent-string-in-mozilla-firefox/ I presume you can't save the page that you want to copy, like file -> save page / save page as. I'm guessing the diagrams and info is embedded.- Welcome to the IHoP v.2
