  8. 2 12" ssa icons (prototype?) review First thing I noticed when I unpackaged them was how well built they were. The huge triple stack motor, well you guys can read the specs but the craftsmanship on these drivers is top notch. In my setup I had dual 1ohm drivers wired to 1ohm on saz-1500d amp. My electrical is stock besides the big 3 done, so I couldn't really take full advantage of the amp, but that was okay because the icons still got loud, very loud. I probably had the gain turned up 2/5 on the saz. First song I played was Narayan by The Prodigy, bass kicking in at 0:44 sounding nice and crisp at low volume, got a couple rattles here and there in the jeep. I then turned it up to hear what it could really do, the rave of the drivers, and I was astounded to hear earth shattering bass without losing any sound quality. My esophagus was tensing up and parts in my vehicle were moving and rattling that I didn't think was possible. My mirrors druped down for god's sake. Everyone knows the icons are SQ based drivers, but they do in fact get loud. Big fat punch to the gut. Next song was Cyanide by Metallica. Every drum line was dead-on, never missing a beat. These drivers carry a punch and sound amazing doing it. I couldn't ask for more, hitting the lows like I never knew possible. When setting up my amp settings and playing some test tones in the garage, I made a roll of paper towels fall from a shelf (just thought I'd share cause it was awesome ) I'll be posting another review once I have the electrical to backup my amp and the icons are broken in. Enclosure Specs: 3.5 @ 33Hz 3.5 air space .28 sub disp .077 bracing 3.75 x 12.5 port area = 13.4 sq in of port per cube Videos (sorry the camera sucks picking up audio)

always exciting I woke up and was just counting down the hours, and then I heard the truck pull up and was f*** yeah! I picked up the box and was like "this is light, hope its everything" Box weighed 56lbs, but felt more like 20

Yeah, for the past couple weeks ups has been at my door every other day dropping stuff off. When the icons showed up, they were in one box and at first I was like "did they only ship one?" haha

Well, I need to get a h/o alt... Then I think i'm set for now I'm sure i'm forgetting something, just small stuff. Maybe some noise dampening / barriers down the road. But mainly just an alt from dc power and a xs power battery If I were you, Id order the icons tonight

I originally ordered sa12s, got on backorder, then got delayed even more and got tired of waiting, so I ordered the icons last week and got them in today. They sound amazing, my jeep rattles like crazy, but the inside sure does sound good. Only problem is, my SIDE mirrors drupe down so I can't even use'm. The bass is so accurate and LOUD I absolutely love them. Still have to fiddle with amp settings but there pretty f***ing awesome. I'll have a video up later tonight

4 feet long huh? It was probably about 2.5' long. It was pretty ridiculous. Best part about that is when you run out of ammo you can drop the clip and start beating your enimy about the neck and head with a *slightly* less inefficient overpriced club.
  23. damn you could cage a 1000lb wild hog in that thing. thats some nice work you got right there rofl, you could...
