yep yep, my friend that has the punches (i was talking about in the other thread lol) has an amp that only puts out 300watts but since it says 900watts max on it he thinks it does 900watts rms...

nah his is in a prefab box, I know the sundowns will sound better. Just wondered if anyone had any numbers from anything

I'm actually getting two sa-12s and an sae-1200d... I was only curious because the only system I have really heard is my friends rockford punches 12"... and I didn't specify port tuning so I guess I won't get much of an answer

haha nice story j-roadtatts yesterday my friend sent me a txt with a picture of his new subs, I zoomed in and saw it was 2 10" sony xplods in a prefab box (at this point im thinking, what the f*** was he thinking...), So I go over to his house and he tells me he bought them at a yard sale for 40 bucks and is just gonna resell'em Just for kicks we wired up an old RF amp and ran them in his car along with his 2 12" RF punches... so ghetto haha.

I'm curious as to what numbers rockford fosgate punches can do. Any size really, just out of curiosity

if your voltage is dropping to 10 then that's f***** up, a dmm is a digital multimeter, you can buy one at lowes, homedepot, radioshack, etc. and don't get a cheap one or you'll regret it. If your voltage is too low it can ruin your amp and its not good for your electrical. Once you get your dmm, disconnect the amp and test your voltage with your vehicle idling, Post the voltage and we can help you out more good luck p.s you may be able to go to a car shop and have them check your voltage, but you can buy a decent one for like $30

it's funny but it's also quite frustrating when they don't know what the f*** there talking about yet they'll talk s*** about quality products like sa or sundown. I haven't ran into anyone with any caps yet... but i'm sure it'll happen haha I always like to watch the SMD videos on youtube and see peoples reactions, but whenever I read the comments I get pissed. For instance one person said "silly man, that car is supposed to be played at a beach for a party, not when your in it..." or "that sounds like s***, my sony xplods sound better" and they never realize a crap camera isn't going to be able to record low frequency.

how many of you have seen inexperienced people buy amps for the peak number to match up with their subs... I know my amp sucks but that's also why i'm replacing it all Last night I went to radioshack with my friend for something and in the parking lot this dude was wiring up his subs. So I walked over and was giving him a hand and what not. He's like "yeah I just got this amp and it does like 1200watts which is perfect cause my subs need 600 each. I don't want to be a dick and rain on his parade but i'm thinking actually that amps only doing like 300watts... anyone else have any stories they care to share

yes subs up, port up. These are the max dimensions except for the 19", lets change the 19" to 21" So the displacement would be 4.72548cubes 4.72 - port displacement - subs displacement(0.28) - bracing = ~4-4.4cubes? I'm guessing net displacement could be around 4 to 4.4cubes if we change the 19" to 21" Hows that sound?
