Sorry in advance for what sounds like a book but i am not happy in the progress of the install....Here it is old school Eclipse competition cd player 3 sets of RE audio 6 1/2 components pushed by a US AMP md-43 4 channel....2 18in FI BTLS in a 6cuft box (ea) after displacement being pushed by 2 US AMPS md-3d rated at 2000rms @ 1ohm @14.4volts....I also have a 300amp alt big 3 done 5 optima batteries (looking to get XS POWER) and all 0 gauge wire.....Stinger volt meter that is ran to the sub at is ranging 14.7 to 14.0 (i know voltage drop isnt good im getting another 300 amp alt soon) It is loud and hits pretty hard (broke weld in tailgate that holds the handle so know it sounds like SHIT) and the cd player skips real bad on most songs (soon to go the VMOD on board carputer) but from what i have heard and seen about these subs mine are not there.....i am BARELY moving them...So i guess my question is do i just need more power (getting 2nd alt soon) and or do my sub amps just NOT have the power these power hungry subs want or need.......Please any insight would help out alot...I know i probably forgot some details you might need but just ask thanks again

agree with the others make your box right and you will probably be happy with your l7s i have ran them for years and loved them but i wanted to step up and got the 18 btls ....

whats up guys and gals....i am installing 2 18" fully loaded btls being pushed by 2 us amps md-3d rated at 2000rms @ 1ohm dont think power rating for the question matters but oh well..anyway the question i have is how to run the subs on the amps so i can use 1 bass knob from 1 amp and not have to run both...the amps are multilinkable amps just not for sure how to wire...help out thanks alot

the subs are always the same wattage its the amp that power changes due to ohms

slow down man it is worth the wait it took about 4 weeks to get my btls but it is worth it just leave it alone forget about it and they will be in before you know it

i plan on doing that had to wait till i got the carpet for it hopefully this week taking lil longer to get everything i needed to get this install goin...so you guys think this box sounds like its good..it is suposed to be 6ft3 after displacement im am not good at building boxes that is y i had him do it but just wanna make sure its right for the subs first time using FI thanks for all the help this forum kicks a**.......

sorry i didnt say that there were two subs and two ports but after you seen it everything with the spec look good it adds up to the right specs then i was sittin here getting worried about not being able to use this box

sorry i have 2 18" fully loaded btl's and i will be running 2 us amps md-3d 2000 rms @ 1ohm i will have all the upgrades for the wiring and alts batteries but just needed to know about the box for now as much help as i can get before i start the install would be helpfull

hey whats up guys just got my box built from this guy that has built them for me before and never had a problem but this one just looks not right so i need help from you guys....the deminsions are....width is 48" height is 22" depth is 31.50 port hole is 3.75 x 22 port length is 27.75 and it is supposed to be tuned at 32hrtz...does this sound right or do i need to have him redo it thanks if i forgot something let me know thanks again
