  1. They quoted me $150 to ship a group 31 and I believe it was $180 for the 4-d.... FAIL! :-( Yea It's pretty bad. I emailed them to see if there anything over $75 includes free shipping but they said no because it would have to be freight so it doesn't apply to that order, but they did tell me to just go to interstates website and find a local dealer and they SHOULD have them stocked. Luckily for me my dealer does have the 8D battery and since its not a commonly sold battery he's giving me a discount for it too.
  2. I think I will be getting the Interstate 8-D and see what this bad boy can do. It says free shipping on there site for orders over $70 so hopefully I can still get this for under $200 which I consider pretty good if it serves its purpose.
  3. Hi I found a FI BTL for sale on craigslist, but the guy doesnt know what options it has because he got it from a trade and I was wondering if there was anyway to find out what options the motor has?
  4. I broke my lanyard the other day and actually thought about the same thing and would love to get a fi lanyard but it seems as if they just stopped but hopefully they have them because I definitely want one.
  5. From what I hear it's designed not to bend inwards once the glass shatters but it can bend out in case of an emergency you can escape you vehicle so I would guess that they could puncture it then pull it out fairly easy. Although I'm not an expert on this stuff I have been reading up on it and this would probably be their best bet but yet again I don't know enough about this stuff to guarantee that.
  6. I live in Greenville, but I'm not quite sure what I would like to compete in. Which is usually better for people who are just getting in to comps? My box is more tuned towards music so I'm leaning more towards music.
  7. Hey guys I'm looking at competing in a few competitions this year and was wondering which league or whatever you call it I should compete in? As stated in the title I'm located in NC and looking to compete only in NC and would like to know which league has the most competitions in NC. Another issue is that I will be in college so weekday competitions are out unless it's on a holiday and theirs no class that day. Thanks in advance for any help
  8. Shizzon so which do you think I should get first an alarm or this? I'm getting my windows professionally tinted for my birthday next week so maybe they could install it? I don't think anyone is going to have more experience at installing film then professional installers haha. I live in a very populated area so I figured that this may have been enough because it's kinda obvious that your trying to break into someones truck if you've been going at it with a baseball bat for 2 minutes. And when you install it I'm guessing that you install it before the tint?
  9. If you look at the videos it's obviously not your ordinary window tint. It is specifically designed to stop anything from getting through the window. And my argument with alarms are that usually they are ignored and easy to bypass by opening the hood and cutting the wires. Could I wire the alarm to my second battery? If so then that would be better than wiring it to my starter battery because thats where anyone who knows what there doing would go to first. They have a video of it being hit by an axe and it holds together amazingly.
  10. I was looking for alarms for my truck and came across Shatter Guard Film. It claims to be able to stop any intruder and is shatter proof. I looked at their video and it looks pretty convincing but the question now is, is it worth it? What do you guys think all hype or could this really be an alternative to an alarm system. Since it's a film it can't be bypassed like an alarm system and can apparently increase the windows strength by up to 300%. The problem is it costs $399. Do you guys think this would be just as good as an alarm system? Also is their any other brand out their that anyone has heard of that is just as effective without the extreme price tag?
  11. Thought about this but $ is an issue and when I looked around I couldn't really find any seats that I liked. If I do cut the back seat and mess up beyond repair the worst thing that could happen is that i throw it away and leave the back without a seat but thats not really bothering me b/c I never really use it anyway which is why I would like to leave only enough room for 1 person just in case I ever need it.
  12. Oh gotcha well I would do a blowthrough anyday but being that my parents paid for it they would probably kill me if I cut the wall and did a blow though. But i figured i could cut the back seat and just make sure i cut it smaller than needed and i can pull the foam and tuck the cloth and sew it so it looks really clean. I'm also thinking about buying some leather seat covers and do the same thing with the back seat since I would rather have leather.
  13. Srry if this is a noob ? but what is a lid?
  14. Change of plans looking to just get an 18" basket and recone my BTL to an 18" and also thinking about building an ABC enclosure...any thoughts on if would be a good set up or not? I'm still planning on building the 1/4 wall or whatever you call it but just have the 18 in the ABC enclosure to fill this space instead of 4 ssd 12s. I'm looking to have a loud daily driver and maybe go to a few competitions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Currently my electrical system is all stock but will be upgraded to 1/0 big 3, HO alt., and 1 or 2 D3100's in the back.
  15. A pull up is where your palms face away from you while a chin up is where your palms face you (chinups are usually easier). 1/8 mile is also known as 200 meters
  16. Not trying to be a dick by calling you out but the 1/4 mile is 400 meters and apparently you are the fastest man in the world because the world record is 43.18 set by Michael Johnson haha.
  17. Pushups: 60 Sit-ups: Never went to failure but a few years ago I would do 200+ before bed (after like 50 or so my abs went numb and it was pretty easy from there haha) Pullups: 15 Chinups: 25 Best time in 1 mile: I believe it was 6 min. 50 sec. and 7 flat 1/4 mile/ 400: 56-57 sec. 1/8 mile/200: never officially timed but based off of what my friends ran in track probably around a 23 sec. Most weight in Benchpress: 370 (set my pr today) Curls(single hand and double hand) idk Leg press: 980 Squats: 475 Military press(most probably don't do) idk its not good to max out too often with this because of the stress put on the shoulders I'm 6'2 230 lbs around 13-15% bf id also like to see peoples static vertical jump mine was 30.5" last time i measured.
  18. Hi when looking at Second Skins site I noticed they are offering a presale on Alpha Damp and I'm very interested in buying this product because the estimated release date is right around my birthday. Before I jump in on this presale I have a few questions that can hopefully be answered. First I noticed that this tile is .6 mil thick but has a .1 mil thick foil will this still be better than Damplifier Pro for eliminating flex and internal noises? I'm interested in using one of these for the back of my truck around the solid window where there is a lot of flex and noise when i really turn my music up. And my second question is how many tiles or sq. feet are included in the presale package (when I looked I couldn't find how much is included). Thanks
  19. Hey guys since I just got my truck future system planes have been popping in my head all week long. I drive a 1999 dodge ram 1500 ext. cab and currently have my FI BTL 15 fully loaded and it is being powered by a Crescendo audio 3KWP. My future plan is to cut my solid folding back seat in half approximately and build a wall in the cut out area. So it will be a 1/2 wall i guess haha (has anyone ever done this?). Any way my plan is to cut the back seat in half and wall off the open are and put in 4 FI SSD 12s. I want to have the subs facing forward and don't know whether to put the port facing forward also or firing the side to the open area so my question is which way should the port face and also is this setup possible and will my back seat still be able to fold up? It has handles on both sides but I have no clue if cutting it will hinder its folding abilities. My goal is to have a loud daily driver that is clean but I still want to have enough room in the back to fit 1 person comfortably. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Thanks man will look into this place.... if anyone else knows of any more places kepp them coming the more options the better. I don't know how some people can get such a clean looks because I tried mine with and without the door panel and no matter what i still get micro bubbles and their just irritating the piss outta me... i guess thats what i get for being such a perfectionist
  21. I figured thats what I would have to do.... so anybody know about any shops that do a good job for a reasonable price
  22. Hey guys I was wondering if there was anyone in NC that can do a good tint job because I've tried three times now and each time I try something always goes wrong from bubbles popping up over night to window streaks under the tint. I figured that by the time I get it to where I want it I will probably have spent just as much as I would have at a tint shop so I'm done with diy tinting and am just looking for someone in the NC area that could do it and if not I guess I'll have to go to a shop and pay $200+
