  1. welcome..... its a great forum
  2. that was at idle but then today it went up to 14.1 idle then hovers around 12.4.12.9 when volume is turn up quite a bit and the lowest i saw it drop to today was 11.7
  3. yup i did... i waited a couple more hours later and drove around again at idle is at 13.1 and when system is full tilt it drop ti like 12.2 a little tiny bit better but nothing i can do w/o a h/o alt sooo....... but thanks for they help guys always appreciate it
  4. did you feel the subs to see if they are moving at all b/c that happened to me and i just had to turn up the volt setting more
  5. i have the same amp..... where did you set the level knob at...and how are the rest of your setting at??
  6. well i found out what was wrong. the bolt that tightens the tensioner for the alt and power steering broke in half....got it fixed and im up in running..... the only thing is without having a h/o alt, the stinger volt meter reads my system full tilt at like 12.2 and drops to 11.9 .........
  7. thats pretty much what i was thinking to ... im taking it to a shop tomorrow morning but i was just making sure it was nothing i did to cause the problem..

  10. well at work tonight i talked to a buddy of mine who is a mechanic and he told me some thing to look at and the belts are on.. they seem not to be moving as fast as normal and there is one pully on the bottom thats not moving at all while the belt around it is...... here ill try to upload another video that i have about the belts i know you really can see anything but ill try uploading it anyway

  14. well come to find out when i got home from work bc i noticed all my light started dimming more and more and i thought to myself that the alt isnt charging the batts and the whole car is running off the two batts. i checked my voltage on both batt when i got home and the front batt is at 8.6 and the rear is at 7.5. with would explain my power steering out is bc the belts and pulley went out. the alt isnt kicking in to charge them.... urghhhh frustrasting

  22. i donno it might work .... i just dont know .... my only concern would be the fact of have an amp for each coil... that would be putting 1000 watts on each coil to a sub thats rated for 1500 total. im not familiar with those subs about being able to handle more than what there rated or not .... but f it was me i wouldn't do it.. bc think about it like this... if its 1500 thats 750 a coil. thats 250 watts more on a coil.. and i have heard it's safe to run about 150-200 watts more on a sub than what it's rated for but that would be an extra 100 watts total and that could be a big difference on changing things... just my 2 cents
