Ok guys heres what I did. I took out my 1500 and wired up my buddies saz-1000d by stripping the 1/0 ga a little bit. We hooked it up with everything that was with the 1500 and his amp worked perfectly. So know I know my problem lies within my amp. So I hooked it up again to make sure it didnt work and it still didnt. So heres pics of the inside of it. From what I can see there is nothing abnormal, burned, or loose, etc. What do you guys see and think? ok guys got a dmm. I believe i hooked it up right. Knob on the dmm was at the black v side on the 20 number. Tested the remote turn on and it stayed at a steady 0 with the car on. So I pulled my head unit out. And all of the connections were still ok. The remote turn on wasn't loose at all, and I checked my remote turn on run for any shorts but it was perfect. So I don't really know what to look for now, I guess i gotta get my friends amp and hook it up to see if his will turn on..... :puzzled: :puzzled:

Well I doubt they came loose for no reason or became an issue for no reason.

Besides the remote turn on, what could be my problem?

I did, checked everything over and over. Like I said the amp should be turned on by the headunit, but no protection or power light. DMM readings tmrw i guess... fml

Ok guys i'm wondering what could be causing my problem with my amplifier. First of all I'm running an saz-1500d with a fi btl d2 ohm at 1 ohm. Electrical wise is an optima up front, stock wet cell in back, everything done in 1/0 ga including big 3. I've had this installed for at least three months now with not a single issue with the amp. And It was working perfectly fine earlier on my way to work. Then going home from work I had it on for about 5 minutes, cop was coming so I shut the amp off thru the headunit(pioneer), cop passed turned it back on played for about 3 minutes then the amp just shut off. It won't turn on whatsoever. I checked my amp at home with the car running and the car off and it doesn't have the protect or power light on. I tried unplugging and plugging the rca's to no avail. I quadruple checked all of my grounds and power connections up front and at the amp, and nothing is loose or shorted. I'm positive low voltage wasn't an issue because I've had no dimming whatsoever at full tilt. So this leads me to believe that I could possibly have a loose remote turn on connection up front. But thats the only thing I could think of, and I don't have a dmm to check my voltage at my grounds but like i said I don't believe it was low voltage. Thanks any suggestions are appreciated. -Nick

There's a post on here I believe by Duran, which talks about the current flow in the klmx wire(90% alum,10%copper) and kollossus (100% copper). And how the klmx wire needs to be oversized to properly work. But It depends on your install. The klmx can only handle up to 250 amps of current while the kollosus is over 300. So take that into consideration.

If you look around online you can find welding cable cheaper than knu wire. And Knukonceptz does have pure copper wire, it's called their kolossus fleks cable. Its like 99.9%, people on here are talking about their klmx wire which is 90% aluminum clad over 10% copper. Fifteen feet should be enough depending on where your alt sits at.

Yah the older xt, more squared then there newer ones. But I thought it did rated, maybe I'm wrong. But there hard to come by now a days.

I'm trying to help find my friend a us amps xt-2000. I'm looking specifically for the older models which had 90 amps of fusing and did rated power. They used to be for sale on ebay for around $120 but now the only site i can find it for sale on is woofersetc and it's like over 300 bucks. So if you guys could find any legit sites with this amp for sale please let me know. Thanks

Alright I gotch thanks for that one. I'm most likely gonna go ahead and get 2 sets of 5-1/4's. Probably gonna pick up a Fatmat package of four 18" x 25" sheets just for my doors.

Yah I know he's recommended them to other people around here. I'm also wondering the differences of running one componet set and two speakers in the back versus just the speakers, besides no tweeters

Ok guys, here's my situation . I'm running 1 18" btl with a saz-1500.... I'll be upgrading the sub amp soon. But I have stock speakers right now an they're not cutting it whatsoever. So I picked up an alpine pdx 100.4 for a good ass price. I also ordered a 4 channel 4 ga knukonceptz flex amp kit And I'm looking into a componet set or just speakers. Sizes that will fit in my car are 5-1/4 and 6-3/4. My price range is like 200-250 bucks for speakers. So I was looking into type r componets and my question is, could I run just a type r component set up front with crossovers and just two type r speakers w/o crossovers in the back? Also im wondering if i could run just 4 type r speakers in each door with the amp and no external crossover? And also I'm open to your guys recommendations other brands for speakers in my price range and Rms range with my amp. Thanks, Nick

lol my bad on the ipod touch comment, your first post wasnt showing up for me for w/e reason. But try what I said!

If you have an ipod touch you'd have to use a program. Anything else you could show hidden programs on your computer, and it would show up as a device, with all of your music on it. Then u could transfer it all to your pc then the other ipod...

I have 55 watt 6k ddm's up front so i'm fine on the visible light through the headlights...
