mid range ideas
You kinda sound like the Alpine Type R kinda guy. Just buy the component set for front and coaxials for rear. This will sound like heaven compared to what your looking at. And they are cheap. Lol

mid range ideas
PWX 8's will not fit in 90 % of doors without major work. They are very deep and heavy as hell and you have to run active and also buy tweeters too. I suggest getting 4 nice 6.5 coaxials. They will have grills also. With the limited info you gave that's what I would do.

sold the horns, looking at arc audio black 6.2
Why would you by a component set and run it active. They are charging for the crossover setup that comes with it. You could buy better equipment individually

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
That seems crazy to me. These are the by far best pens I have used including high dollar pens and I hate spending the money on these. I buy a 4 pack about once every couple months http://www.staples.com/uni-ball-207-Impact-Gel-Pens-Bold-Point-Black-Dozen/product_405085

check Into crescendo pwx for your front.. I think im going with those.. ive never used them but frogcase2002s sound pretty damn good mixed with some aq tweets. That is a horrible suggestion. Just pucking horrible, lolcmon now its not that bad.. im ordering some tomorrow and they sound pretty damn good if you ask me. I have also owned the 8's and 6.5's. They can get loud, sounding good not so much. They are a horrible suggestion for 95% of people. Why do you think you see so many used for sale on all the boards. People drink the koolaid buy them and realize they suck

I think so, just can't use the arm at all. And I have no feeling in about 20% in the arm and my thumb hopefully it's not permanent nerve damage. Time will tell. Thanks Considering how recent it is, that's not bad at all. Hope it keeps improving. Let us know if we can do something for ya. J Thanks guys, it was hell the first 3 days but now it's just more so a pain in the ass. I just figured I would post a carnage pic. Lol I have been trying to come off the pain meds and it feels good to have my senses back about me. My buddy just bought a 54 Chevy truck and a 47 Studabaker truck that I am kinda helping with and they are badass. Feels good to get back to thinking of my normal hobbies.

Best NON - Nav Headunits for SQ?
Looks like a good Headunit if your not wanting to run active off of it. You can always add external processing to it later if you wanted to get serious. I have always liked Kenwood HU's. I only run a Pioneer because of the processing the 80prs offers.

Motorcraft is good oil and is very reasonably priced. That's the only thing I would run in a new Ford. No reason not to

Swift's 2012 F250
Not in yet. Tore my bicep tendon off the bone, had surgery Monday and truck has been in shop for warranty work for the last 2 weeks and they say it will be first of next month before I get it back due to a part on back order. Gonna be a few months before I can even install unless I have someone else do it. Recovery will be long with this arm injury. Sucks bad

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
2 days after surgery and I am about tired of sitting around jacked up on perks. Gonna go into work for a few hours tomorrow and then go get the temp splint off and get the mechanical one on. Curious to see how many stitches my arm has.
- I been saving...

Crescendo PWX8 and FT1 Wiring
If you want to use them run them on their own channel. Turn the gain way down on the tweeters like at 1/4 and highpass the mids at 70hz and turn the gain up on them as much as you can without clipping. The Ft1's will dominate the mids if not. you will also need alot of EQing to get it to sound halfway decent. Try it and see how it sounds since you already own them

C1100.4-Need 6.5" components to match
If I was going to do matching amps honestly I would either do Incrminator Audio because of the quality and footprint or I would go Rockford Fosgate or ZED for the same reasons. The large Sundown and Crescendo 4 channels are just plain huge and no way I would buy one just to run my front stage unless it was a huge SPL build.

C1100.4-Need 6.5" components to match
People seem to be drawn to the Q because they advertise it as their Sound Quality line sub that gets very loud. Thats what drew me to the sub when I bought it. I was in the exact same place the OP is in. I wanted to do a nice loud system since I could finally afford to do it the right way now that I'm older. Had a vision of what I "thought" I should do and basically did it. I bought a Sundown 1500, FI Q 15, Alpine 4 channel, Rockford Components for the front and ran my Alpine Type R 5x7 coaxials in the rear all in stock locations. I loved the setup and everyone that heard it was blown away as I was for a couple years. Now that I have alittle more knowledge and gradually went for more and more I realize some things I could have done better. Even now I am kinda starting over for this new truck I have and will likely be going back to a simple, loud and clear sounding setup. Staging and how clean something sounds to me is two different things. Yes I would like a properly staged system but I have also heard a few SQ vehicles with perfect staging that sounded very dull to me and some I have heard sound incredible. My opinion and this is only my opinion, some would disagree and say that it would sound like ass and Im stupid...idk But I would do a good headunit that offers a nice EQ and hi / low crossovers. A nice 1200-2000 watt amp for the sub. (the Q is fine and will get loud and clean. Mine did 147db in my single cab) A good 4 channel amp, IA, Rockford, JL or Alpine, just a few examples. The new Crescendo line may be fine but idk. A good set of components for the front, and a decent set of coaxials for the rear fill if you want to. It wont hurt if you have a suv and have rear seat passengers alot. If your by yourself more than not then just turn the gain way down on the rears or fade more to the front. Take the whole family on a trip and your not blasting the fronts while you listen to your kids BS teenie bopper music because you only have front speakers. Make sure you sound deaden really well and if the installation is done right it will sound great and last as long as you want it too. Then after a year and the bass bug hits you can go really big and in the meanwhile you can read and learn what you like and dislike about your setup and improve from there. Just my 2 cents

C1100.4-Need 6.5" components to match
You have a decent budget but no need to buy things just because. I would ditch the Crescendo 1100 and grab a Incriminator Audio 6.4 or the smaller one. Its around the same cost and much much smaller. The C1100 is a HUGE amp and isnt needed for your install at all, its almost as big as a BC5500. Alpine also makes good 4 channel amps. The Q is a great sub and will likely exceed anything you expect. I ran one for 3-4 years and it was a awesome sub. I would also just grab a Crescendo BC2000 and run it at 1ohm on that sub and just watch the gains or another comparable 1500w amp. I have found that I really like the sound of JL components, I was also happy with my Rockford and Alpine sets as well. Proper sound deadening will make a huge difference in how it sounds.
