Does same numbers on both amps but more efficiently. Voltage is actually better with both amps in also. I can play full tilt and barley drops under 13. And starting voltage is 13.9 so that's not bad at all.. I have lots of mods that need done to the enclosure, port and the wall in general. It's nasty on the lows and louder to the ear so I'm good with that.
  2. Lmao, join the crowd man. I think we all felt like that at some point who has bought FI subs. But once they arrive you will be a happy customer. Even though I dont run FI anymore they do make badass subs. Dont be suprised if they are sitting on your porch when you get home. Hell I think one time they sent me a tracking number after the sub arrived at my house. haha
  3. That's OSB (Advantech flooring). Ooooooh, flexy. Have you actually done any testing with it? How many layers? How much eopxy or polyester resin did you use between layers? On the surfaces? When you built the identical box with whatever material you think is better what were the SPL numbers on each box? If you haven't used that material or done direct A to B comparison or at least talked to someone who has you should probably STFU when it comes to things about which you know nothing. Also this thread isn't to start a pissing contest aboutf lumber, but to show off my Zed amp build in the Zed sub-forum. Wow, that hit a nerve. lmao

Gonna hopefully re-meter today and see where it sits. Anybody wanna take a guess at what she does. They are strapped at 2 ohms. Best numbers on one amp at .5 was 156.77 @ 30hz 156.73 @ 33hz 158.17 @ 48hz I will meter again at those same frequencies to get a accurate account of the gain but will also look for a new peak incase it changed.
  5. I would be more concerned about why the fuse was blown.

II'll catch you up that way this year I'm sure. I plan on driving to several different events this year. Headed to SC this weekend.

Well I ordered the second amp Thursday and it got here Saturday. Anybody wanting a big amp should look into Ampere. Great customer service and beast amps!! Last night me and a friend went to his work and used all the badass equipment and welded up a amp rack and this morning got everything mounted and installed. Oscoped the amps and set gains. All I can say is I made myself tap out. This shit is brutal, no matter what numbers it does. The doors are taking a full ass whoppin when I turn it up. I will meter later on and post results. Here are a few pics
  10. The amp is HUGE!! Nice equipment
  11. Not bad for your first time. Once the subs break in it will get alittle louder and lower, seal off from the trunk and I would imagine it will be around a 42 but dont get hung up on numbers. They are secondary and almost meaningless. just chase the sound your after, once you do that if it numbers high good but if not who cares.

Second amp gets here tomorrow but no need to even put in it till I can have vocals to match. Can someone just take my money and do the doors for me. LOL. I do have a small air saw now so I guess I will try it this weekend. I can build the hell out of a box/wall. But glassing Im kinda new at. Can do great kick pods just nervous to fuck up my doors. Well new door panels on ebay are around 300 bucks so I guess its not the end of the world if I fail. I just have to remember (no beers the night I do them) lmao
  14. wrapped in glass mat and resin those would be nice and strong. And the smooth inside would gain some debeezzzz, lol Nice of you to offer to someone.
  15. Me either, 1st post failure
  16. Good shit! Gonna be getting loud, dont forget deadner or it will sound like a herd of buffalo trying to escape.
  17. Thats why I like the 12 volt calculator, just enter port size, box size and tuning desire and tells you how long it needs to be. I can figure all the other shit out. The ones with how many common walls etc just confuse my ass, I just want to know how long the SOB needs to be, lol

Second 7500.1 on the way, shits gonna get serious. lol

If it were me I would do 10cu net with 175-220sq in of port. For higher numbers maybe 200-220 port tuned at 32, for more low ground pounding 175-190sq in of port tuned at 30. But Quentin can model it and show you what's ideal. Just never know how something will react in the vehicle. Power plays a part also, need to look at vent Mach and find a sweet spot.

  22. Perfect amp for them.
