I have the baffles cut so I have a layout just gotta grab a small airsaw and go to cutting. I have the tweeters placed on the dash to see how they sound up higher and I like it.

No man I have to build the panels and procrastinating badly. Hate messing with it but it has to be done. Glad you like them. Thanks

Figured I would just leave this here. Here is my wife and daughter getting their head knocked off. How about at 30hz Or 33hz Plays higher notes ok too Cant say enough about the Ethos. My setup is built to demo loud and low. I wanted 58's on one amp and it does it, I wanted 55+ below 35hz and it does that. But to almost do 57's at 30hz. Damn this dude is brutal on music. I also O scoped the amp and set the gains down alot. Sounds cleaner and just as loud. Clamped 7954 watts at 12.05v. I'd say the amp is doing its job just fine.
  4. You dont have room 2 15's if you only have 5cu gross. I would get two 12's instead or a single 15. One sub get a dual 2 ohm, two subs get dual 1's.
  5. Example I run 4 18's and 8k watts and I use 190amps of fusing. Yes it blows quick but if I can get a score up thats all that matters. with your amp I would definitely go for S2 or S3. Just dont clip it it will blow quicker and current draw skyrockets
  6. if i run 2 Ethos (both 2 ohm dvc) the load would drop down to .5 ohm if i dont buy 2 amps (which i dont want to spend the money to buy 2 seperate ones) and unfortunately i cant find a 3k amp under $500 that can easily take half an ohm. while i dont have budget friendly in mind while drawing up this build, i would like to keep the amp and sub(s) under $1k. and wouldnt a single "15 sub in a 4cbcft 32hz tuned box hit lower than the 2 12s? If you got 2 subs get dual 1's that way you can wire to a 1ohm load. Hitting lows doesnt have much to do with the sub size. Two 12's will out perform a single 15 in every aspect if your talking about the same brand and type sub. That Sundown above would push 2 12's or 1 15 just fine.
  7. My first choice would be DSS, I love the way my setup sounds!! A demo will leave the unseasoned person alittle off balance and head stuffy for a few hours, lol! With that out of the way the SP4 is a top notch sub,The FI Q is a terrific sub. I owned 6 FI subs and had good results from all of them. The SSA Zcon is a awesome sub and sounds like you have the room for one as they seem to like alittle larger enclosure (4-5cu for a 15), The Evil is another sub that is badass. SSA makes a great product. With the space you have available I would run 2 12in DSS Ethos on a 3k watt amp. That will out perform 1 15 and you wont have to push them as hard as a single 15 to get the same output.
  8. Welcome, I didnt realize you wasnt on here. Its a good site here, cool people.
  9. A cap bank setup along with a battery bank would be good for someone like me who has regulated voltage and I compete also, so even though they would only sit at 14.1 while the truck is running when I compete the voltage may not drop as hard as a pure battery setup. Say 6 batteries and 4-6 banks of caps? Curious how voltage would look after a 30 second run vs all batteries.
  10. if you have already built it isnt it alittle late to be trying to figure airspace. This is the most simple calculator out there probably. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/box_wizard.asp
  11. Gotcha. Sounds very interesting but also may only fit a small niche of customer base in the SQ market. maybe I'm wrong
  12. What was the big update? Are you changing something or just showing the build as a whole to the people that havent seen it (which at this point is very few) lol
  13. I would dumb it down............alot I'm not sure Im even smart enough to answer any of this. Are you talking about a processor thats built in the amp? Or separate digital processors and very simple style amplifiers.
  14. Build looks good, nice updates!
  15. A Soundqubed 3500 would be plenty for these subs in a daily setup and be plenty loud.

Yeah, gonna glass some panels. Probably going to do a bedliner theme inside because its a lifted super duty. Should look decent if I take my time.
  17. Caps may be my answer to regulated voltage. I like!!
  18. swift replied to swift's topic in Build Logs
Nope only gonna use one mid and one tweeter per door. They should do just fine. After seeing these in person I will not be ordering 2 more. haha
  19. swift replied to swift's topic in Build Logs
Only 4in depth but man they are heavy. They will be mounted as close to the hinges as possible. lol
  20. swift replied to swift's topic in Build Logs
Very impressive in person. I wasnt expecting a 50lb box to be on my porch for 2 mids, lol 96db, 4.5mm Xmax, 40-4k hz 350rms. Hoping they do decent for my application
  21. 30-45 is normal
  22. swift replied to swift's topic in Build Logs
No worries fellas. My front stage is here and shit these Rockford Punch Pro 10's are HUGE Next to a Crescendo 6.5 Hoping to get these going soon
  23. I have never received a sub from FI in less than 30 days.
  24. With your budget I would get two used Crescendo BC2000's and strap them. Or keep your eye out for a used 3-4k for 650. 650 dont go very far when talking about a new quality amp.
