Just two different builds completely. I like both I like both . Win. Now we just have to convince Teric to wall his. He NEVER uses his backseats anyways. Payton is walling his off with 6 15" DSS Ethos as well. LOL would be awesome, 4 Walled builds of DSS Ethos in Nashville. :Toast: Atleast a C pillar wall. lol

As far as the number thing goes you definitely got me there, but I have no doubt mine will also do a 56+ at the headrest if I'm on two amps as well.

This thing is just painful, sorry for the camera work its hard to concentrate by yourself while watching voltage and rpm, etc. Damn I need a alternator in. I can see myself spending money on replacement parts when I decide to remove all this shit, its reeking havoc on my truck
  5. Doors look good, those flat door panels are nice to have.
  6. Loud as heck!!!

Wouldn't it be easier to adjust the input voltage? Thats what I do from the head unit, so however you want to word it. Not sure why I said from the amp.

Yeah I have room for 8 group 31's in the tool box. I wish they were all the same brand so I could run large buss bars but theyre not. I adjusted the gains down on the amp and with the stock HO 225 amp alt and 6 batteries voltage doesnt hardly drop at all and its still loud for daily. I will turn it up for shows though. The Mechman and batts should help quite abit. I will get more pics up today as I have to try and finish a few things before tomorrow.

Got the Mechman 370 here and also 3 Juicebox 3100's, Voltage should Not be a issue anymore

Got the doors deadened and foam above the headliner. So much better now that all that rattling shit is gone. Gonna seal up the seams on the wall these evening and may even glass all the corners and trim pieces, bondo and smooth but unsure if it will be worth it. Loving the sound it has, low end is killer

Audiosavings failed to mention the 8's were on back order so I went ahead and ordered two 10's. These have a better 4.6mm xmax so they should sound alittle better in the midbass area. Hopefully its loud enough for me, I doubt it so I will make a baffle on the doors for two 10's each side so I can add later. Maybe these will get me through until I can put DSS in them

My head unit is now acting up terribly bad. It takes about 15 seconds for a song to load when I press play and sometimes I just get a error 19. Here is a good example
  13. Any time I run multiple batteries I ground each battery to the frame or studs in your case. A single ground for all batteries in the back aint cutting it. Wire all batteries parallel then ground each battery also. With your stock alt the voltage will drop in the 12's because its doing more than the alt can provide but sounds like there is room for improvement
  14. No need to go 24, if so you will be up in Mod 5 with the big dogs, 16k will be plenty for the subs anyway.

So I made a quick attempt to trim it off today to go over and get a baseline number to see where its sitting as of now. But I have alot left to do as far as bracing and deadening the truck. I guess because this one doesnt have a sunroof, the roof and windshield are just going apeshit. also it pushing alot of air out the back because I havent calked up the edges yet. But I am very happy considering these are new subs and only have 2 days of play time. It should do the numbers I want once dialed in. It slams the lows. Couple pics This obviously isnt done so dont mind the deadner. it will get nice beauty panels done and should look good I think. Here is my baseline, seems to peak between 40-43hz This one is tasty, 30hz I have the other gear on the way, voltage drops pretty good now in the 11's. Once the mechman gets here and the other batteries I should be good, Atleast until I add a second amp. I have an issue with the passenger side door so that will get looked at aswell.
  16. Sundown SD-12 do great in sealed and sound good too. Plus they are cheap

Got about 80% done trimming and sealing it off. Should be done tomorrow and will post pics tomorrow

I will have 9 batteries on it by the weekend and also ordered my front stage. Went with 4 Rockford Punch Pro 8's and 2 of the Punch Pro tweeters. This should sound decent and get loud, If it cant keep up I will order 2 more 8's and 2 more tweeters. Hoping to get it sealed off by this weekend and start getting some accurate numbers. Sounds like a 56 as of now but maybe my ears are wrong...... lots of room to improve, subs are loving the amp combo. I will try to get better pics soon.

Mechman Elite 370 ordered...... Gonna see if I can run it as a second alt with a bracket

Enclosure ended up being around 20.5cu net tuned at 30hz give or take if I'm at 20-21cu net.

Yeah I wont post too much about it until I get it finished up. The truck is taken far more of a beating with these 4 than the 3 SP4's but its not showing on the meter, atleast not at the freq I guessed at when I did my run although it was enough to take 1st place in Mod3 yesterday. That will give me the 3X points I need. I have zero deadner in the truck and havent even started to seal anything and do any tuning. Listening to it at maybe 1/2 volume (35 or so on the headunit) it seems to maybe peak in the lower 30's. Once its sealed off I would expect that to be accurate at higher volumes as well. Maybe later this week when I get more done we can get your meter over here and do some testing. The whole truck just doesnt know what to do when the lows hit right now. lmao... One thing is for sure, I will need serious battery power to run two of these amps!!!

Truck empty, back windows plastic dipped black Holes cut for power, ground on pass side Baffle mocked up. Big Thanks for nadicle for coming over and helping cut on the old shell. Had to add 3 inches to the bottom to make room for the new sub layout. Baffle bracing, its 2 3/4 boards thick but needed more. This should do fine Just a sample of over 150ft of 2/0 in the truck, will be over 250ft when complete Shell is in and secure Baffle in
