I have to get some more done. The vids are with the usamp @ 2ohms. Now I have the Infinity 1300@2ohms. I'll try to get some this week.
  2. Wow, but I still stand behind SS, and will continue too. I'm in for the long haul.

    Thank you again kind sir.
  4. I'm going to try and make LNO. It didn't do to bad for an SQ sub, lol. I peaked at a 149.0, averaged a 148.4 both with tones, and I got a 147.6 with music.

    What do you have now?
  6. oxsign replied to oxsign's topic in SoundSplinter
    26.5" x 6" long each.
  7. Damn it, I never got around to hear it. It was good meeting you there at the show this weekend.

I would like to get it down to like 30hz, but i'm very happy with the low end that it's picking up now. So I may just leave it as is for now.

I got the sub metered this weekend at a show. The mic was a TL, legal, on the dash, windows, doors, etc, close. 149.0 peak, 148.4 average, tones. With music it did a 147.6. Not to bad for a SQ orientated sub.
  10. Thats the best part, lol.
  11. That's good news guy. I think I'm going to put this amp on my 18" and see how she like it. Adjust the gains properly, and I should be good to go. Thx for your help guys, Vic.
  12. Yse it does on the back. What does that mean???
  13. It states 1300 @ 2ohms at 14.4v. I currently have an MD2D on my RL-p 18" @ 2 ohms, but it's only getting around 800 rms. I was thinking of swapping them out, but i'm not to sure on the rated power for the Infinity.

Honestly, I don't know. This is what he said he wanted to do, and was asking on the quality of these speakers. Any input on them?

My father-in-law is getting ready to install his theater system in the new house. He's kinda on a budget, but wanted me to about this brand, specifically about the AC640 & AC680. Whats your input on theses? Thx, Vic.

I'd have to disagree with the "small box" statement. I had my 2 15"s in 2.5 ported to 34hz, and they loved every minute of it. 2.5-3 would be ideas for the 15". Of course bigger is better, but by no means is 2.5 to small of a box for them. Now as for the port area, well that's another issue, lol. I do agree that they need more than a 2"-2.5" ports. If your going to go with PVC (round) ports, I would go with nothing small 4".
  18. I hope it turns out easy. It was insured for $250.

You'd be better off going with 1-2 12" or 15" RL-p's. Much better for the output your looking for. You still get geat SQ, but they get damn loud doing it. I've ran many of the RL-p's, and have had great output with them.
  20. She drives a VW R32. Currentlly the box is 1.2 cubes ported to 34hz. I'm in the process of redoing the box using 2 3" aero ports, and taking the box to 1.5 cubes.
  21. Hell ya it does, lol. I was really looking forward to taking a drive, and messing with the sub/amp.
  22. Good news, bad news. Good news is that I got the box in, and reworked my air managment. I still need to do some tuning with the amp, but it sounds great so far. Bad news is that I fonnd 2 cracks in my airtanks around the ports. So I can't drive thr truck anywhere to listen to the 18".
