what size gauge wire does the AQ1200D take? i cant seem to find it, everyone is using 4 gauge but i dunno...

The AQ is a fine amp. I have installed 3-4 of the 1200's and 2 of their bigger brother the 2200. All do rated power and all work flawlessly. He is right, people talk shit because they see the MOD's do it. I have never seen a bad thing from an AQ that was the amps fault. alright, i guess i'll change my sig and tell sundown that i will see them soon. And from testing, as far as we can tell the "Clip" LED on the bass knob is pretty accurate. o.O clip LED?! Time for some Vid on Youtube!!!

Hopefully they will not need your advice. If they do you are in deep shit friend and should search for a different installer. Always check behind them, but if you go in there trying to big league someone trying to do their job, I will guarantee you will have a mess. alright, just wanted to make sure, i will tell them though that it is a D2 sub, they might want to know that lol

alright i decided to breathe new life into this thread, what should i tell the installers? should i tell them the Ohm i want the sub set to, the volume, gain, etc.?

im a super OCD with this kind of stuff, i need something that is cheap, but i need said thing to be EXACTLY what i want and i hate it. i think ill get the AQ, for now and then upgrade to the sundown. i need to save as much money as i possibly can. GAH i hate these types of decisions >.<"

i was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the AQ1200D, its cheap and i'm debating if i should save my money and get it.

read up on the 15" their box size isn't huge, for most subs. if ur going to be putting out more than 2000 watts on the sub, forget about the BL and look into XCON's, BTL and some of RE and AA higher out put subs.

Have you ever heard your "favorite" aa smd driver before? its not actually my favorite. i just said that cause it a huge ass sub and its expensive, i messing with the guy, since he has no information about price. Why does it sound horrible? i have heard them through Steave Meade's vids, and they sound loud. I never said they sounded bad, and rating a subwoofers ability to get loud and/or sound quality through a video is a joke, seriously? I have nothing against his subwoofers, they're probably very good or his name wouldn't be on them, but that wouldn't make me say "there my favorite" Being expensive doesn't mean it's the best... Never said that they are good because they are expencive. I also put them up because they handle 3500 watts RMS. And I wouldn't say they are good if I heard them through a video. I trust Meade and his choice of subs, if he uses them they must be of good quality plus AA subs I hear are very nice. And I'm done argueing.

you listen to the same type of music i do. i will be getting a 12" FI BL, from my research it seems like the perfect sub for the application. The BL is Loud (Hehehehe) and is also very accurate. is the $500 for the sub only?
