if I add more ports won't I lose available air space Im not sure how to make a slot port can you tell me how to design a slot port for the specs I have give for my enclosure

I need help with an enclosure I'm building my enclosure is 2.51 cuft after displacement it will hold one fi Bl 12 ran off a T1000 amp I would like to tune it to 32 HRZ with what info I have come up with in order to tune it to 32 HRZ if I go with a 4"port 10.3" long it should be around 32HRz does this sound right my enclosure is 16" deep 54" long 9.5" tall in the front and 7.25" tall in the back it will be up fire and I would like to run the port off the front witch is the side that is 9.5" I'm working with very little room so I can not change the die mentions of the enclosure much if you have any suggestions on how to do this right please let me no add if you you can explain it so the average person can comprehend it that would be nice lol

I know I have clearance for the sub in the enclosure its tight but it will fit but what do you mean by clearancing the top ? you mean in front of the sub so theirs room for it to move ? if so I can always just flip the seat up . and Im not sure if you answered my ? about the port size or not also is there ever a reason to use a capacitor ? and thank you for replying

no I cant go any bigger thats pushing it I have to raise my back seat to fit that so no. I can go wider up to 55" though but the specs on this sub say 1.5 - 2..5 Im wright at 2.5after deducting displacement of my sub does A 4" port 8 3/4" long sound about write to tune this to 34Hrz and the capacitor it wont do me any good ?

I am building an enclosure for a 08 chevy crew cab I'm installing 1 fi bl 12 Im not sure what size port to use or how to tune it to the specs im going for my enclosure is 11"h 45.5"w 16"d rear height is 8.25" I am firing it up and plan to face the port to the front I wood like to tune it to 34 Hrz I am powering it by 1 T1000 fosgate with a 4 farad capacitor my box is 2.51 cuft minus woofer displacement can any one help me if you need anymore info please let me no I am knew at this so please bare with me

had a ? about freq since Im not that familiar the lower the freq does that mean the bass gets deeper and is that why you need to no the freq when your building an enclosure if so ?

I can do the fab work I just dont know much about audio so I dont know what it means to tune your shit to what ever Hz or freq or anything like that lol

this box need to be ported and have between 1.5-2.5 cuft the sub has a mounting depth of 6.75in Im trying to build it just big enuff to do the trick

Well my seat is lifted about 3 inches. my dimensions are 53.5w x 16d x 11height1 and 7.5height2. comes out about 3 cubes after displacments. i dont have a box builder program. just built it in the truck one piece at a time. now i use these specs to build different boxes for different subs. i change my shit alot.
