147.9 is decent bass bruh 147.9 termlab sealed on dash 1x 15" btl 2x saz1500d 3.65cuft , 37hz 85sqinch L-port , sub up port back, quickie box no 45s, no kerfport , no sanding and no finishing work. ford explorer daily driver this was droped in late the nite before the show with glue still drying, way to late to do any tuning or testing. and i have zero experience with spl comps, never even been to one before. have never been on a spl meter before. and had never seen or heard the cd i had to use. just went out there and did what i could. you should just go to a show and enter , see what you get for numbers. then you can have a base line to improve from. come back and let us know what you get for numbers. good luck and have fun doing it.

this type of thing makes me feel like you have failed to understand what im asking...you can not judge a product based upon one man's install....as i have said i am more than happy with mine.....my goal was 140 db. i got there... game over for me....what i wanted to know...and what i asked is what the most the people of fi have seen run on a bl 12 IN THE BEST CONDITIONS MEANING NOT MINE...THE BEST....THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF WATTS AN ONWER HAS RAN>>>WITH NO PROBLEMS.........my install aside..and my questions about the crescendo audio has been answered very well.....this is not about that.... Obviously you dont understand because you keep asking the same question and people have given you the answer for three pages so far. It wont matter to you at all, it is to many factors to equate to worry about what someone ran on there subs. It will come down to goals, box size, listening habits (everybody's is different), electrical you have and so on. The way to tell what your subs can handle is to test them and let us know how they react on the Crescendo and if you want to know if they can handle more power in your application then go buy a bigger amp (which is not recommended). If your looking for more output then maybe you need to step up in woofer class as well and get you some BTL's.

i know...i understand there are many things that can change the answer....i would just like to know how far other fi bl owners have pushed them in what ever install they may have... so i have a greater overall unsterstanding of the sub and what it can do....when installed right....or wrong.....i myself am happy with the 140 db. im getting out of mine and would only take it past that if i had too....comp....out bump a JL...beat up my car...ect ect...

i really dont know...i left my car and paid the money for my amp to be set while i got a toggle switch put on the head unit..i was just told it clips at around 75% gain and to keep loudness off on the H/U at all times

i 100% back the crescendo 3k...i'v never got a better amp for the money....

i understand this.....i clip at around 75% gain with this deck from what the guy at my local shop told me.....but im not sure how many v my deck is.....i do know its an eclipse avn-7000.... but how would i go about finding out how many v it is?

i have mine running fine for the box they are in.........what im asking is this what is the most watts people have heard of or seen the bl 12 take.......i know for a fact that even in the best case senario this is a point these subs will reach their mechanical limit and fail.....its hard for me to belive that FI or a at least a FI owner has not tried to push the to the absolute limit

i feel your pain man....they keep making me spend money on car audio....no matter how much bass i get...HAARP is never happy... Drew, I'm surprised you know what HAARP is. Probably something that fell in the box. They controlled me into running 18"s lol

true....but i have a good grasp of car audio subs amps ect....they are in a big box but it is within the bl 12 specs....and i try to run clean power no clipping...

yes true....but more or less...i was looking to see other bl 12 owners and what the max they have put on them is.... so far they seem to be runing fine on a crescendo 3k.....but i have my gain set to 50% and the amp could give so much more...i'd llike to see the bl's take it im not going to lie... but im not willing to risk them....until i know if they can take the amp on full tilt....i mean i did pay for the options to they would take more power....so the rms should be above 1000 right???

im not 100% on this.....but i think at least the bl sub comes with a plug under a sticker on the back of the magnet...im not sure if im right...and or if q's are the same...but if they are...it could be the plug...but i dont see how...are you sure it came from the sub and not the box....maybe you left it in or maybe....JFK....u.f.o's.....rouge wave......HAARP...ect ect
