  1. *cringes* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It won't hurt you.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Neither will Bengay Anyways here are the molds Traced out Test Fitting Thats it for now, I'm going back to the garage.
  2. I've decided to finally install my RE 6.5's after having them for about a year. I have been waiting to take some time off of work, but I haven't since last June so I took two whole weeks off . I tried two different methods for laying the molds. I first tried using painters tape to tape off the whole area for the drivers kick, when removing the mold taking off the tape seemed to be a pain and took forever to get off, not to mention the fact that all the tack on the tape came off on my hands and is still there 4 hours later. For the passenger kick I did the Foil method where I just taped off the edges, this went much faster than laying down 30 strips of tape. Also when the molding was removed the foil came right off in one motion. From now on all fiberglass molds will be done with foil. Anyways both driver and passenger molds are done, tomorrow I will be completing the enclosures (more glassing, baffles, fleece, bondo hair, and regular boddy filling, we'll see if I have time to primer/paint). Check back tomorrow, should have some pics up by 10:00 am central.
  3. It's brown, but thanks for the help anyways guys. Malibu Classic = teh lose.
  4. I lost my Leadtek program with all different wire colors. I would appreciate if someone could host it for me, or just tell me what color the wire for accessories are on a 2003 chevy malibu. Pretty sure its brown but i am just making sure. thanks. al
  5. Would anyone like to help fund a scientific experiment to find out when exactly our country and the people in it turned into a bunch of whining sissy's? al

  10. if you guys are bored, turn on 20/20, ABC. you might be surprised by what's on. "boom car" story. al sorry, i'm late, it seems the segment has ended. MT 18's got some national air-time though.
  11. I need to vent... the dude that bought my avionixx axa440.4 bridged the rear channel at 2 ohms. So he starts telling me how the amp cuts out, only the rear channel though. I ask him what the VC of his sub he was powering, dual 2 ohm, ok... sounding good, then wait, i ask him if he's got one or 2 subs. he says 2. so i automatilly think he's got them wired to 2 ohms. he says yes and shows me a diagram he used to verify it. sure enough the subs were wired to a nominal imp of 2 ohms. it took him the longest time to comprehend that resistance is lowered when you bridge. i gave him a diagram and told him to bridge at 8 ohms since it is the only acceptable load available with the VC config he has. he says he'll try it, so hopefully all will turn out well, i had good experience with my other avionixx at lower ohm loads. but you never know till you try. wwwwwhhhhhheeeeeewwwwwww... that felt good. al
  12. Useless at that, 18mm xmax... al
  13. I will not, Sir. I'm keeping all the goody information to myself. al
  14. that would be sweet, save me the trouble of dealing with UPS. you have PM sir. al
  15. Controls on the top make me more than happy. This amp must have been tossed around pretty good by UPS too, the bass knob was CRUSHED under the amplifier, the amp broke through the cardboard to the bass knob and gave a little blemish on an endcap, but i am deffinitely not letting UPS take my amp back for inspection. all i want is a new bass knob, you never know when you might go to a SLAP show and they judge by looks too (duh). al
  16. I'm too much of a wimp for internal shots, these will have to do for now. This baby is about 24 inches long with the endcaps on her. 2 ga. power and ground connections. I am in love with this thing. al
  17. You noticed, nothing but La-Z-Boy (sp) in this house. hehe. al
  18. I'm currently giving the new Octavarium by Dream Theater a tryout. All i have to say so far is "meh." al
  19. I used to run kickers back in the day. I had a pair of comp C12a's. anyways, at 220 USD these things may aswell be internet brand. i especially want to see how they compare to my k's and xxx 18. The type R's will be in 2.25 cuft. each. I'm expecting some slammage. about the enclosure, that will be bare MDF. I have to get some doorpods done before i move on to bigger projects for fiberglass. al
  20. And for how cheap you can find them now, chit, you can't go wrong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bingo! It was between these and comp vr's in the beginning, but i had a buddy reccomend these to me. he has tested both, obviously not in my car, but he found the type R's to be better in just about every way. I'm not trying to badmouth, i still love kicker. al
  21. They will be in an '04 malibu classic (older body). 4.5 cubes after all displacement tuned to 30 htz. Should be nice. al
  22. Finally after months of waiting the warranty on my car is up. its nearly time to get down and dirty so here we go. it's too bad that i have to wait untill i get back from wisconsin to install these. after vacation is country thunder. i really dont know when i will have time soon. but here they are. keep an eye out and you might catch some xx zeus pics later on today. if not, that means that the UPS man was cruel to me and i didn't get it. and that means you all would have to wait a week. al
  23. this is looking nice, i've been planning on doing door pods for my malibu and this has given me a nice look at what i might be working with. my door panels look very similar. great work bro al
  24. is this for dual 2 ohm only??? i would definitely be in if i could get my hands on some dual 4's. al
