  1. anyone? if more info is needed i can try and elaborate.
  2. everything is stock, so no amps that im aware of. i am keeping the factory head unit. the features of a DQL 8 surpass that of most head units anyways. it has 8 EQ presets. i am a OEM freak. i dont like many things that where not offered on a car from the factory asthetic wise. thats why i simply want to replace the components and 6x9s with the best i can get. the only reason why i want a sub is because speakers dont allow you to feel the music. i was looking at getting an FI sub, just wasnt quite sure if the Q 12 is what im looking for.
  3. I have a 1989 Buick park avenue in dire need of a system. the factory concert sound II is awesome for a stock system, but its still stock. i Am looking for a pure SQ set up. i have no interest in being very loud, just want to hear my music at its best from its highest to its lowest. i have 6 3/4' components in the front and 6x9s in the rear. the CONCRETE- - i am using a audio control DQL 8 to give my amps signal. factory radio is staying. -Box must be smaller than 18x18x17. the smaller the better. -Front and rear stages are going to stay. no adds, no removals. -box will be SEALED to the pass compartment. what i want- - high quality, unaltered mindbogglingly awesome sound, using a set of components, 6x9s and one sub. I HAD a full set up, but upon thinking it over and finding out RE audio isnt as good as it used to be, im going back to the drawing board. dont want to spend over $2000 for all the components. if its worth spending more though, i will.
  4. thank you for the warm welcome. i have tried to find info on CA.com but have found its search feature an epic fail. i drive a 89 Buick Electra Park Avenue with 212k, its by no means in new condition but it still runs strong.
  5. Hi. my name is Keith and i am by no means new to the internet or forums. i have been doing research bit by bit for a audio set up for the past few years. I am a 2111 small arms repairman stationed at camp geiger school of infantry near camp lejeune. i will make a post with the details of what i know and dont know, what i want and what i have. i am looking forward to the advice and help i can get from the forum and hope i can complete my goals for my system.
