which is why i said im making the box bigger to make room for it ? k well can i get dimensions please for 0.75. I might just end up doing that all around

im gonna use lots of bracing with 0.75 for the inside but i need box dimensions

Yeah i heard rumours about that. which is why i am looking no luck soo far though guys please help. i would love to get this BL up and running. Height must be 16.5 for it to be easier to get in and out. Looking for around 27 width and maybe around 14-15 depth. Want a nice small ported box tuned to about 32-33 hz with sub in (BL needs about 2.8-4 cubic feet)

also changed the depth to 15 instead of 14, and made the tuning 30.72 which will make it about 32 with sub installed and gave it a bit more volume. It is 3.032 instead of 2.285 which will give more room for bracing

I have pieces of 0.75 that i could use what would you recommend ? and where on the box sorry if some of the questions are stupid and obvious but like i said its my first personal build and i wanna make sure its perfect

i've used .5 before for a long time with no problems. t-nuts and wood glue does the job. Also so i can make the box volume larger. I still want to use my trunk could you help with the dimensions

wanted to know if its accurate wood: 0.50 height: 16.5 width: 28 depth: 14 PORT height: 15.5 width: 1.7 L Piece: 6 says its tuned to 31.64 and has 2.825 cubic feet. and i dont understand why its saying my port should be deeper than my box is.. lol says total port length is 20.85 so i subtracted 6 which is 14.85 ?? you guys are the pros and its my first personal box build

you mean the dimensions i put for the smaller box will be fine ? aeroport as in the cylinder ports right? Im kinda leaning towards a slot port what would the size of the slot have to be with the dimensions you were thinking or agreed with thnx appreciate it

I dont mind if the hz changes a bit. I mostly listen to rap and hip-hop and sometimes techno and rock so anything works I just want it to pound hard and to be able to feel the bass shaking my body lol

Get the Dual 2 if not already done so and wire parallel to 1 ohm for the most output like Nick said, .5 ohm will just ruin the amp.

im fine with anything that is noticeably smaller in size than my current box, which i posted the dimensions above. While staying at 32-33hz if possible Dimension ideas maybe Height: 16" Width: Up to 30" Depth: 20" Thats just a rough Please let me know if i can post any more info that will help thanks guys

yeaahh i will check those out. Im currently at 17 high which i want to lower by sanding down the MDF. 30 Wide which would be nice to decrease and 25 deep which i would also like to decrease, and a 3.5 inch wide port and 23 inch deep. mostly looking at taking away some depth and height so its easier to take in and out of the trunk and leave room for my sports equipment !

Hey everyone ! I got the aq1200d and the 15" BL ready but i made a ported box that i want to make smaller for more room in the trunk and its just a pain to get in. I was just wondering what is the smallest ported box measurements I could use to get as much as i can out of the sub while being tuned to around 32-33 hz. Please help! thnx

The SSD is the lower end sub, but still pounds. The Q is more meant for Sound Quality but also gets really loud. It all depends on what your looking at achieving 1200 RMS on a Q is gonna sound different than 1200 RMS on a BL You get what you pay for, but if you are getting the SSD you should get both options just to be safe and make sure you install the amp correctly with a proper box for the sub

get both upgrades and the saz-1000d

both amps put out more rms than posted. but the SAZ-1000d is better made than the SAE-1200d but the SAE-1200d puts out more power go with the SAZ-1000d... the SAE-1200d might blow that sub

set it to 30hz, its usually is 2hz under what ur box is, just make sure ur box is 32 hz for sure before tuning ur amps subsonic filter at 30hz, bracings and subwoofer depth can steal away space therefore lower ur total box tuning hz, so keep that in mind bro doesnt the sub at about 2 hz?? it will be about 30 hz without sub so im adding 2 because of the sub. am i correct?

just a quick question.. not stealing thread If my box is tuned to about 32 hz what should the subsonic filter be set at ? or whats the rule

thanks a lot for your help man!! that box sounds perfect. as long as its loud. i mostly listen to rap and hip-hop so would that be good? well price was a factor and sundown doesnt ship new to Canada! plus the aq1200d puts out more rms from clamp results.

Hey guys, this will be my first ported box. I purchased a BL 15" Here are the dimensions i would like the box to be. Height: 17.5 Length: 35.5 Depth: 23 Looking to tune between 30-34 hz. any help would be great !! ps it will be pushed by 1200 rms and is used Daily

k well i got the audioque aq1200d instead! my max dimensions i want for my box are Height: 17.5 Length: 35.5 Depth: 23 Will be used for Daily
